Bad sales tactics and ran credit through same banks twice
I wrote a review on Google as well and I’m writing a review on here. I would suggest to stay away from this dealership. Their finance team and sales team do not completely talk to each other 100%. Me and my wife went in for 2015 orange jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara loaded for $30,995. We told the sales person that my credit was fair and that we had just moved here is that a problem with getting financing. Of course a salesman’s going to say no it’s fine but I wanted to make sure so I asked him to speak with his finance before we did any paperwork. He then went and brought back a piece of paper saying finance can get it done if you allow us to run your credit. I said OK and then ran my credit came back with a fair credit score and said that they’ve got an approval from Wells Fargo Bank. That all they needed was proof of income and insurance for the vehicle. I said OK no problem I can bring you a check stop in in a couple of days I don’t have them on me it’s at my job however I have to work tomorrow. The salesman said that’s fine bring me the check stub in whenever the vehicle will be here however someone else is looking at it so please come it as quick as you can. I’ve been said will hold on a second we are purchasing the vehicle can I give you a deposit down on it can we sign some paperwork and I just bring the check stub back in we can at least get the paperwork started. He then said that I need to Pennsylvania drivers license as well in order to purchase the vehicle I said that’s not a problem I just need to go down and turn in my drivers license to get that. He said that just takes one day. I said OK so in a couple of days we can come back and finish the paperwork for the jeep. He said yes the following day I went to PennDOT to get my drivers license and called him and said here’s my check stub can I email it to you he didn’t agree to do so. However, he said I’m not in the office today it’s my day off but I will get the check stub in and they can start the paperwork why don’t you come in this afternoon and bring your drivers license will have all the paperwork ready or rather can you come in tomorrow. I said yeah that’s not a problem so the following day I called in to make sure all the paperwork was done and I get a phone call from the finance person saying he needed five months of bank statements and all my check stubs. I said not a problem I emailed everything to him he said OK I’m getting this approved now I’ll call you back in a couple of hours. Now this point in time I’ve been told by the sales person that I’m already approved for the loan I just need to get proof of income and insurance for the vehicle. I then did not hear back from them the entire day and went into the dealership that afternoon at 5:30. It seemed very cold and everyone was ignoring me except for my sales person he walked up to me and said hey your vehicle sold yesterday while I was off. I said how did that happen we already had paperwork on it he didn’t said I don’t know my sales people are looking into it or rather my sales manager and general manager or seeing how it happened. He then showed us a few other DJ because unfortunately that jeep sold my wife was very upset about the situation. However we found a 2017 jeep wrangler unlimited and my wife liked it so we then started the process for it. The salesman said that’s OK I already turned in a Vin number for the same price to the finance team now all we have to do is just switch Vin numbers in the loan should be fine. I then went into the finance office to speak with Jeff the finance manager. He stated to me as I stated in the Google ad that he has a 2017 jeep Wrangler Unlimited sport brand new no money down he just needed proof of him of income and I told him he had that however that’s not the jeep that we chose. He then said what are you talking about this is what I’ve given the bank we can’t give them a different G because that starts a whole new process. I then said I told my salesman that we needed to choose a jeep that you were working on financing no matter which jeep it was. He then said go get the salesman and bring him in here he then asked the salesman what he did and he said oh I was just giving you a Vin number to a jeep because we need to get to that price the same as the orange jeep in which they pick now they want this jeep so I thought it would be easy just to change the vin. Then the sales manager came back and explain to him the situation that it happened he then got huffy with me yelling at me telling me that it’s late this is been a nightmare for the last week none of us want to deal with this anymore you need to tell me which xxxxxx jeep you want I said listen we’ve been through this too and I really appreciate you stop yelling at me and he said you’re yelling as well I didn’t state it to him as I stated to the salesman that I talk loud because I can’t hear that well. The bottom line of this is the following I was approved for 2016 orange jeep Wrangler Unlimited, the vehicle sold out from underneath me, then the salesman gave the finance a different G than what we had picked before we have even picked the jeep. The sales manager didn’t gave us the jeep we wanted and guaranteed us at the bank would approve it at $1500 down. Then, everyone told us to make sure that we had insurance started on the jeep here’s the Vin number when you come back are you going to have to do is sign. It was nice of them to allow us to take the Jeep off the property because they guarantee that the financing was done however they need to work on their guarantee and their follow up with banks before they give a customer a vehicle and makes him extremely happy with the vehicle and to tear of their hearts out and throw everything away and make the customer spend money for something and never get the money back Mike the salesman was skews me the sales manager was nice at the end and said that he really wanted the deal to go through he even gave me a buyer’s agreement to take to a bank that they had already ran my credit through. I know he’s just trying to do his job but if he has sales people in finance managers not doing their job it makes his job harder. Fire of the salesman fire the finance team and start fresh because you’re just ruining your reputation and making people write reviews like this

I appreciate you finally responding to my post. But it has now been over a month and it took you that long to just respond. This shows what type of dealership you are. It’s pretty sad that you cannot even respond to a post until over a month later. I appreciate the fact that you gave me your general sales managers number however, it’s too late. My credit is now ruined Because of your bad system and no one went back to take down the double credit checks in which your dealership purposely did.
BUYER BEWARE!
After finding a car online and having a test drive with a knowledgeable salesperson, we were ready to move ahead with purchasing the vehicle... and that's when a pleasant experience became everything that's wrong with auto sales! Scare tactics on price, repeated attempts to force us into their financing, flat-out deceptive financing costs, an unwillingness to be transparent about ANY part of the overall transaction, and hours of my life I’ll never get back.

GREAT & VERY HELPFUL
I had a great experience with our salesman. My husband had actually bought a truck off him that he had been looking for, for a couple of years and we had such a smooth process with it that I came back for the jeep I've been searching for. Justin was VERY helpful, did not over step, answered all questions with honesty, and explained everything. He went above and beyond. Will definitely be referring friends and family to him!

It's good to know that he got all of your questions answered and made sure you were comfortable from start to finish. That's what our dealership is all about. Thank you for the recommendations and the excellent review, we really appreciate it. Enjoy your new Jeep!
Gene Lopez worst customer service
Nothing but problems with the dealership especially Gene Lopez Made a deal on a vehicle and couldn't find it on the lot for 40 min Did not payoff previous leased vehicle for more than a month Payment was taken out of my account since they never paid it off Finally paid off and bank issued a refund to dealer for difference between agreed payoff amount and actual Screamed on the phone at my wife blaming the bank saying that they had our refund when it was paid to the dealership and they had to refund it Had wrong last name on registration fixed and then sale manager Kevin and salesperson both stated the registration would be renewed and wasn't Confronted Gene on 7/13/17 and salesman agreed they were to renew but Gene said never approved and to leave the dealership. I stated was going to contact Nissan USA and Christian Munier Sr VP at Nissan sales said he didn't care but make sure to get my name right when I do In managing staff for years and purchasing over 30plus vehicles this is the worst customer service especially from a general manager I have ever experienced Dean Rothrock if you want to increase business and stop loosing customers this needs to be reviewed and an action plan put into place If any of my employees treated customers like this they would not be employed

Been Coming Back For Over 35 Years
I must confess I can be the, "Customer From xxxx". I want what I want and for my price/terms. Most recently I descended on Rothrock Motor Sales, looking to trade my Nissan product. I contacted the sales consultant I have used previously, John Boachert. We scheduled an appointment and he was ready to help me select a new vehicle. This trip I wanted a new Jeep and John patiently walked me through the stock of Wranglers on the lot. I took a couple of Jeeps for a test ride and settled on a Wrangler. The color and equipment I wanted was not on the lot, so it was up to Chrysler/Jeep Sales Manger Brain Reichenbach to find what I wanted and set up a dealer trade, and "work the deal". The deal was made and in a few days the Jeep I wanted was brought to the Jeep store. Delivery day went very smoothly, due to the efforts of my salesman, and F&I Manager Mike Vannote. Mike is a sharp, professional finance expert. He even shopped my financing and got me a better rate and payment. Paper work went as planned and I was turned over to, Ms. Mia Norman, who takes you through your new vehicle, demonstrating its features and answering a myriad of questions. I was out of the dealership, well educated in my Jeeps Ops. and have since been enjoying my new ride. Yes, both Ms. Norman and my salesman called me to check if I had any questions or problems with my new vehicle, and happily I had "0". To make every customer who drives on the lot a buyer and happy is a tall order, but my experience at Rothrock had been nothing but Five Star.

Thanks so much for sharing your amazing experience! We're thrilled that you chose Rothrock to purchase your new vehicle. If we don't have the vehicle you want, we will always try to find it. We want you to walk away from us happy and satisfied with your purchase. Congrats on your new Jeep Wrangler, it is a very nice car and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Bad experience all around
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE - customer service is horrible, no one ever calls back or follows thru, finance department is shady, and lies about dates and numbers, and on top of that, there is what seems to be a lot of employee turnover, which leads to many things falling through the cracks. Needless to say, I bought a car here April 1st, and calls/emails have still not been returned.

A Return Customer
This is the 6th vehicle purchased by my family since 2006. Rothrock Nissan employees are a pleasure to deal with. From the sales staff, Edwin Serrano to the delivery specialist Tom Mandracchia. The next time I'm in for a new Nissan car I will return to Rothrock fo the great service.
