My Experience with Diplomat Motors was Extremely

My Experience with Diplomat Motors was Extremely Disappointing Summary: The sales director assured me via email that I could return the vehicle for a $2,000 penalty. However, when I traveled from WA (380 miles, approximately 7-8 hours) to return it, the general manager rejected my request without providing a valid reason, even questioning my honesty. Be cautious; Don't rely on Google ratings. Please check Yelp and other sources before making a purchase. Full details: In my experience, I had a troubling experience with Diplomat Motors. After my purchase, their responses became cold. I traveled all the way from WA to buy a used 2023 car. Before I made the trip, I specifically asked over the phone if there were any blemishes on the vehicle, and I was assured there were none. I arrived at 5:15 PM and began inspecting the car for about 10 minutes (not a very long time since they close at 6) after a brief test drive. Due to the dark blue color of the car and the evening light, I couldn't see the scratches and paint deformities clearly. I did notice one scratch, which I informed the salesperson about, and he casually told me that a touch-up pen could fix it for just a few bucks. I trusted his word and ended up making a deal, taking the car home. The next morning, in the sunlight, I discovered more scratches on the handles, other part of body and noticed paint deformities through the local detailing worker that I had missed the evening before. It appeared that someone had painted the sides/corner of the car unprofessionally. When I reached out to the salesperson who sold me the car, their response was cold and unhelpful, as if they had no interest in addressing my concerns now that the sale was completed. In my view, the level of unprofessionalism I encountered was surprising. They are unwilling to maintain their promises, and their customer service becomes nonexistent after the sale. I cannot emphasize enough how crucial it is to inspect a car very carefully before purchasing. After two days, the sales director contacted me to request a rating. I explained my poor experience, particularly regarding the undisclosed cosmetic issues. Although they insisted I received a discount on the asking price, the negotiated price did not account for the cosmetic damage. I appreciated the sales director's initial efforts and his assurance that I could return the vehicle for a $2,000 penalty. Since I felt I could not trust them to handle any future issues that might arise, I decided to return the car. Over email, the sales director assured me that I could return the vehicle. Feeling somewhat reassured, I made the decision to return the car. After traveling approximately 380 miles round trip to Portland, taking 7-8 hours of travel time, their general sales manager, denied my request without a valid reason, claiming the issues would be considered normal wear and tear, and even questioning my honesty. However, given the dealership's prior written agreement to accept the return, this argument holds no merit. Before making the trip, I had already shared a video of these issues with Sales director, so if there had been any concerns about the return, they should have informed me before confirming my plan to return the vehicle. If they considered these issues "normal wear and tear," they should have raised this before confirming my return plan. Moreover, I disagree that paint deformities on the sides can be considered normal wear. Despite the written assurance from the sales director that I could return the vehicle, I received no valid reason for the denial. I have lived here for more than 5 years and have never encountered such unprofessionalism. I tried to follow up with the sales director but received no reply from him. Their refusal to honor this written commitment is both unjustified and unprofessional

After someone inquires you continue to receive automated

After someone inquires you continue to receive automated AI messages scolding you for clicking on the lick and not following through with additional communication. That was not the case , I had numerous back and forth communication and gave a specific reason as to why the vehicle was not a good fit for me.
