Pains me to write this review because as a consumer we are deeply disappointed and now in a lose/lose situation. 11 days ago we purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla for my son to commute to college and it turned out to be a nightmare. We’ve had 2 mechanics inspect the vehicle and unfortunately they’ve both told us major damages were hidden from us. They said any mechanic that inspected this vehicle truly and thoroughly would have noted these issues; however, it would appear they were concealed for a sale. We were informed the vehicle we purchased was in some type of accident and repaired by whom? We have no idea. We did check the Carfax. According to the Carfax it’s a no accident vehicle but in April 2025 the vehicle was serviced by Imperial Honda and sold and then in June 2025 John’s Automotive serviced the vehicle. Both mechanics that we had inspect the vehicle informed us there is no way either of these prior auto shops/mechanics could have ignored the issues with the vehicle. The list of issues is long and painful and makes me vow to never purchase a vehicle from a corner store lot again. Our vehicle inspection report includes: inspection found there to be faulty front strut assemblies, incorrect front strut mounting bolts, INFERIOR front lower control arm assemblies and worn front sway bar links. The transmission pan appears to have been hit by an object and is dented in. Recommend to replace the front strut assemblies, strut mounting bolts, front sway bar links, transmission fluid pan and fluid. NOTE- THERE IS STRONG EVIDENCE THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS IN A FRONT END COLLISION. In addition, according to the carfax, the tires were replaced in June 2025, by CC Auto’s mechanic shop; they weren’t. The front tires are worn differently and mismatched. The back tires are good. So replaced with used tires maybe? We were told brand new. There’s nothing we can change now but this is a huge lesson and a red flag. Chase was a personable owner but now questionable unfortunately. I did call him and he did offer his apologies and inform he purchased this vehicle from auction and they didn’t notate any issues. Either way, this is our experience/lesson/loss.
