I purchased a 2015 Acura MDX from Axis Chevrolet this past Friday, and it was one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. The online listing showed a price of $14,000, but by the time the paperwork was done, I ended up paying over $20,000. They tacked on $4,000 in fees claiming it was for “maintenance” so the car could be “certified,” and another $895 for documentation. That alone felt deceptive. But worse, they forced me into their financing plan even though I clearly stated I wanted to pay cash. I was pushed into an 8.9% interest rate, which is outrageous considering my excellent credit. After driving off the lot, I discovered the vehicle had a strong cigarette odor that doesn’t go away with any cleaning or air fresheners. The car was advertised as “certified” and “deep cleaned.” When I called the salesperson, she told me she’d speak with her manager and call back in 15 minutes. That was the last I heard from her. I called again—no response. I then contacted their customer service line, and after explaining the situation, I was transferred to someone who hung up on me. This dealership uses high-pressure sales tactics, adds hidden fees, and offers poor customer service once the sale is complete. Their “certified” vehicles are questionable, and they refuse to stand behind their promises. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with Axis Chevrolet to look elsewhere. Don’t let them take advantage of you the way they did with me.

Been searching for a car and have been selective. This ismy 1st time finding a car and a dealership I liked all in one!! When purchasing my car with them they made everything so easy and fast. Financing went smoothly, the finance mng worked with my budget and made sure I had chosen the best option. Overall, this won’t be the last time I purchase something from them! 10/10
