Our new purchase
Purchased a new camaro yesterday. Great experience with our salesman: Dave Wilson. He was very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. This was my second experience with the VanBortel Group, our last purchase was a Subaru that we still own. Customer service ia definitely a priority at this dealership. No pressure sales, what a great concept!

My Mom had dealt with McClouth Chevy for years and had been very satisfied. When I began looking for a replacement truck and decided on a Chevy, I was influenced by two close friends that are long time customers of Van Bortel to do my research and then go to them. Being so familiar with the location of the now Van Bortel Chevy made the choice a no brainer. I spent 30 years as a professional sales representative. They had about one minute to keep my attention and get my business or I was going someplace else. Well, I am now driving my new Chevy Colorado, so you know they had it right from minute one. easy. pain free. Actually fun.

Purchase of vehicle
I only gave the facilities four stars because Van Bortel is undergoing renovation. It appears as if once the improvement are made, it will put the dealership up to five stars. We were happy to have had Kitty Van Bortle (the owner of the dealership) stop by and have a casual chat during the buying process. She was not there to pressure us - just to see if, up to that point, things were going well. Overall, we were made very welcomed at the dealership. My wife liked the flowers on the tables - a nice touch. All questions were answered promptly and clearly.

I felt like I was with a trusted friend
I was comparing two pick ups at different dealerships. Both trucks were 2012 identical models. They were the same price with almost equal mileage but had some minor differences in features. One dealer is less than 2 miles from my home, while Van Bortel is 25 miles away. The first truck I was able to look at was the one at Van Bortel Chevrolet. Dave Wilson was great. We discussed my trade-in value, he gave me several pricing options for extended warranty, and started working on financing options. He did this all before I signed any commitment to buy the truck. When I mentioned I was looking at another truck at a different dealership, Dave encouraged me to take my time and see which vehicle was right for me because he wanted his customers to be happy with their choice. He said he would have the financing options ready in a couple of days. The next day I visited the other dealership and drove their truck. I liked them both equally and I knew it was going to be hard to decide which I liked more. I sat down with the salesman to discuss the deal. It was nothing like the relaxed, honest meeting I had the day before with Dave. This guy was all about playing games with me. The dealer wouldn?t even look at my trade in unless I first told him what I?d accept and sign an agreement to purchase if they met my price. They refused to negotiate at all unless I signed a commitment up front. Needless to say, I called Dave Wilson back and Van Bortel even did some additional work on the truck at my request before I paid or signed for anything. It was all done on good faith. They really were so trusting throughout the whole process. When we did finally meet to complete the transaction Dave, Ruth Perrin and John Milazzo had everything ready for me. Van Bortel has earned my future business. It?s worth driving 25 miles.

The dealership is in the middle of renovation. I emailed after hours about a Chevy they had in stock. Dave Wilson called me the next morning and we pleasantly talked at length. After quietly sounding me out, he suggested another Chevy 2 years newer, equal miles with near equal price and more goodies. We came a few days later and Dave showed us both cars. Naturally, we took the newer one. Ruth Perrin was fantastic with the stack of paperwork we had to sign. Ruth even drove out of her way on a terribly snowy day to sign a sheet we missed. Kitty talked with us and is a sweetheart. I will definitely visit Kitty's people first the next time and save lots of hassle. Next year a Subaru.

GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE AT VAN BORTEL CHEVROLET
Just bought a 2008 c6 Corvette at Van Bortel Chevrolet. Nate and Matt were extremely helpful and a wealth of information. The indoor Corvette showroom ( around 40 new and pre owned Corvettes) was great and Van Bortel will store my car there until spring. Warranty will start when I pick up the car. This was a great experience !.

Great Car-Buying Experience
Great Experience buying our first Chevrolet automobile at Van Bortel Chevrolet. The salesman was very attentive and he explained everything. Allowed us to take as much time as we wanted to test drive the vehicle and look it over. All members of the Van Bortel sales team were easy to work with and didn't oversell us. They let us lead the process. This is exactly how the car-buying experience should be - all about the customer.
