Pre-owned vehicle with problems
I purchased a pre-owned 2010 BMW from Long Beach BMW. I live about 75 miles away from them. Granted the vehicle had 90,000 miles on it, within 300 miles of having the vehicle it had an oil leak and constantly needed to be jumped because the battery was always dead. I called and they told me to bring the vehicle in and they will take care of the oil leak, and the battery free of charge. They also provided a loaner vehicle for me which I appreciated because I live so far. Within the next week the vechile still had problems started and I reached out and management told me they already did what they could and I bought the vehicle as-is which I understand. My problem is they told me they replaced the battery with a new one. When I jumped they vehicle it started no problem. I took the vehicle to autozone and they tested the battery and said the battery was no good and it can't hold a charge. From them testing the battery 3 times they percentage fell from 79% to 69% to 59% within minutes of each other. Once they took out the old battery which BMW said they replaced with a new one, I could tell that it was not a new battery, it was dirty. My issue is with "BMW Certified Master Technicians" why would they sell a vehicle on the front line with an oil leak, and second tell me they replaced the battery with a new one when they didn't. I called what I believe was the service guy who was over my case and for two weeks he wouldn't return my call until I got in contact with management. When you buy from a luxury manufacturer I do not expect the vehicle to have a oil leak and have problems starting whether it's pre-owned or not. Yes, I understand that the vehicle was 6 years old with 90,000 miles, but I haven't even had a chance to enjoy the vehicle because of the problems where they say they inspect the vehicles. There's no way this vehicle should have been sold with an oil leak after having been looked by by BMW Certified Master Technician. Management told me they could not do anything else. The vehicle hasn't even had 1,000 miles put on it since purchase.

Not that great!!!
I had my first experience today with Long Beach BMW for fixing a flat tire. To be frank, it wasn?t that great. Everything started off well with the towing guy dropping me off at Long Beach BMW around 9.30AM. As soon I arrived, I went to one of the service advisors for help. The guy came and helped me with the paperwork. I was told that they will do the inspection and let me know if it can be repaired or not. I waited for some time and he told me that it can?t be repaired and the tire needs to be replaced. He told me that they need to order the tire and it will be ready by around 5.30pm. Since it is an electric car (BMWi3), I told him to get it charged before delivery so that I don?t have to wait in line again to do so. I requested for a drop off for home and left the dealership. Around 5.30PM I received a call from the service advisor saying the car is ready and he asked me to come before 6PM. I told him that I can?t commit to this time since I don?t have a transport and he should have called well in advance or offered a pick up. I also enquired about the charging and his exact words were ?The car was being charged whole day?.I reached the dealership around 6.10PM (thanks to my wife),paid for the service and collected the keys. That?s when I realized that the car wasn?t charged and also they didn?t reset the warning message. I had to wait for another 40 min to get the car charged. Reset for the warning message needs to be done, so I believe I need to go back again. Such a waste of time!!! I don?t necessarily feel that this is a terrible experience, but considering the fact that I had better experience elsewhere gives the rating to just 2 stars. Will I go back to Long Beach BMW again? Maybe not!!!

Was asked what time I wanted to pick my car up after service was performed. I asked about 2pm and was told that was fine. I called at 3pm and was put on hold. Called back and same thing again. Wasn't ready until 4pm. Beautiful new facility.

Quick and Professional
Fast service, professional, and exactly how I hope all service places could be like. I usually go to another BMW service center in another city and I have to wait the whole day or two for a regular maintenance check. The signal hill BMW was prompt with everything. Alex Viray was my service advisor. He is incredibly nice and made sure to inform me on the status of my car, (was nice enough to make sure I knew even when my voicemail wasn't working, thanks Alex!) My prior service guy, at another dealership would leave me wondering about my car for the whole day that I had to track him down constantly. I also like that there is a drive up to the service desks, which makes everything incredibly convenient and efficient. I recommend Alex and this BMW service center.
