2013 Subaru Imprezza - Hail Damaged, Salvage title

I have bought many used cars in my lifetime, maybe 50. So I felt I had enough experience to make a educated decision. You should only buy a salvage title vehicle if you know a bit about cars. I purchased a Subaru from Eastside for over $7K off retail due to hail damage. Eastside fixed what they had to, to make the car road worthy. What they fixed, has had no issues, windshield, taillights headlights... I had purchased a salvage vehicle from another dealer years ago and that one had issues appearing hundreds and thousands of miles later. So I did know a few things to look for and even then, workmanship may not be evident at first. I have put on over 25K on this car and nothing has surfaced that was not in plain sight when I bought it. I did not care too much what the outside looked like as I was going to fix it over time here and there. I still feel I got a great value for my transportation, an AWD Subaru with low miles that feels like new inside. I would consider buying again from them. I think they are selling less than perfectly new cars at a fair price. To me it is a WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET deal that works for both of you. They only have so much time to investigate each vehicle and you always take a risk with any used vehicle.

Blue Chevrolet HHR

The nicest thing about this place was the receptionist.We contacted this place before we drove all the way out from Apple Valley to see the HHR.We tried to tell the guy what we were looking for he recommended 1 HHR that had higher mileage and was pretty beat up.We told him that we came to see the blue HHR, we were told that it wasn't ready and it would be 2 weeks before it was ready. I will say that they do have a lot of cars to pick from. The customer service wasn't that great.It seemed like they were a little upset that we didn't want that HHR.

Rude Services

I drove over two hours in traffic to make it to this dealer which has great reviews thought I would give them a try. I work 75+ hours weekly, its not easy finding time to buy a car so i was happy to make it there by 6PM....Clearly stated ONLINE hours are open until 7PM. The salesman showed me the car started it, then said I only have 15 minutes since they close at 6pm!!! Way to refuse a sale. We were extremely interested!! Horrible experience, you will be lucky if I decide to come back for the car WE WERE GOING TO BUY FROM YOUR SHOP. I ADVISE NEXT TIME, TAKING THE EXTRA TIME IF YOUR ACTUALLY GOING TO SELL A CAR!! This is the whole point of your business correct?

Good Deal

Bought a Dodge from them and the repairs on the vehicle were very good. Most of the people there were very helpful and gave good service. Will definitely consider them if the future.

Lousy service, hardly any available cars

Most of the cars listed on the site haven't even been touched yet, so call ahead of time. I would assume that they would be ready but hardly any were. Don't bother negotiating with these people, they'll go on and on about how much money they put into the vehicles. For salvages it's a shady experience to begin with but they leave you little room to feel comfortable purchasing one. You are pretty much instructed to go out to the lot and look, but hardly any of the cars are ready. Complete waste of time.

Great prices, great service!

I recently needed a new car after my girlfriend accidentally crashed my old one (she was OK but the car was totaled). I found East Side Auto on cars.com with five or six vehicles in my price range so we set aside a weekday to go take a look. When we arrive Mark helped us take a look at an MDX at the top of our list. He was very transparent about the vehicle and let us know that it was a salvage title like most of their vehicles (it wasn't a huge plus but we didn't care much). We took a test drive and it drove like new and we decided that was it. We did all the paperwork and completed financing all in under a hour. Mark asked me to call him personally if there were any issues we experienced. It has been a couple weeks now and we have had no issues. If you are looking for great prices and don't mind taking a hit on resale (due to salvage title) then this is your place. The staff is great and they have great prices and tons of options. Save money, no hassle

I did save a lot of money on a half dozen cars my family has bought here since 2001. We still shop for cars there today, I like how transparent they are. They have damaged cars waiting for repairs at the lot, so you can get an idea of the place works. All of our vehicles have been great cars and SUVs. The sales people weren't afraid to tell you the truth about the car you were looking at and I appreciate a "frank" conversation, so I could get on with my day! It is more a self-help kind of place, so if you like to schmooze or need to spend a lot of time with a sales person, ask them when the slower times of the day are...lol

Repeat customer

I have been purchasing my vehicles at this dealership for the past 10 years. The staff has always been honest, helpful and knowledgeable. I am driving a Subaru Forester water damage for the past 3 years and have had not one problem with the vehicle. I have been referring all my friends and family members to shop there. Best prices of anywhere that I have found and great values. Don't forget they have been in business of over 35 years. They are doing something right!!!!

disappointed/ complete waste of time

I had several phone conversations about 2 possible SUV's, both I was told were repaired completely and ready to go, I planned on driving over 2 hours to purchase one. I informed the sales person of the long drive, had an appointment for first thing in the morning, and was told the SUV would be saved and ready for me. When I arrived, I was told that the air conditioning "just quit working". They tried to get me to purchase the SUV and come back to have it fixed. I was disappointed that I drove 2 hours(4 total/back home). They could have called the night before and been honest about it, but chose not to. The other repairs on the SUV were shady. The sales guy was extremely rude when we said no. The second SUV hadn't even been touched as far as repairs. Again, I was told they were both ready. Waste of a morning.
