For 2022, a total of 101 vehicles earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick Plus award, which is up 12% over 2021, when 90 vehicles made the list.

For the best electric vehicles, in addition to overall excellence, we pay extra attention to the aspects with which many EVs stumble, such as ride quality and charging speed.

Ford’s newcomers for 2022 include the all-electric Lightning version of the F-150, the all-new Maverick compact pickup and a Bronco Raptor performance off-roader.
