After repeatedly topping the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s list of most stolen cars in recent years, the Dodge Charger has been replaced in the top 20 of this year’s study by another muscle car.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports that since it started testing seat belt reminders in 2022, automakers have responded with improved ratings for model-year 2023-25 vehicles.

Wheel warming has gone mainstream, with the feature standard or optional not just on luxury vehicles, but on an increasing number of models with sticker prices of $40,000 or less.

Volvo’s first recall of the new year affects roughly 27,400 of its model-year 2023 vehicles.
