Downsizing
I'm considering this vehicle because I'm down sizing from a Ford Explorer. After a test drive I'm concerned about the comfort and road noise, since I spend a lot of time driving.

Have only had it for a week
Have not had it long enough to do much evaluation. I love the lumbar support in the power seat. My last car was 18 years old so everything is an improvement.

So Glad I Purchased
This car is attractive. It's a smooth quiet ride and the seats are comfortable. The back up mirror is a god send and I really like the sensors in the side mirrors that deal with my blinds spots. I always locked the doors on my old car before I left the garage, I like that the doors automatically lock.

Powerful & Gorgeous
I got a 2.0 Liter turbo charged engine FWD on the 2019 Equinox Red Line Edition. The wheels, the trim and the sleek lines are SO HOT looking! I get stopped on the road. Transmission shifts quickly. Seats are very comfortable. I love it.

my second Equinox and it's even better
There have been improvements in the dash and driver controls. The vehicle is fun to drive and comfortable. My only negative would be that the cabin and cargo areas are smaller in the new models.

Broke down several times within the first 500 mi
TOTAL NIGHTMARE! After being a loyal Chevy driver for years I purchased a 2019 Equinox a couple of months ago. The day after I purchased it we went on a short weekend trip feeling good about having a new car. Before getting 150 miles on the vehicle, the turbo air induction broke free from the engine and we nearly died on a busy interstate. I called the local dealer and was told I would need to pay for a tow and a rental car. I didn't have that much money so I drove it to a dealership. With a max speed of 15 mph it took nearly two hours to get to the service center. At that dealer the repair seemed simple enough as they reattached the air induction hose and declared the car fixed. Less than an hour away it happened again. This time the dealer was already closed and no one from GM customer service would answer my calls. With a ruined trip we retreated back home. The car would not make it past 15 mph and we had to reattach the hose multiple times. The following week the dealer where I purchased it allowed me to trade it back in (at a lower value) and I ended up with a Colorado truck. GM eventually called me back two weeks later and explained there was nothing they could do. I mentioned the Lemon Law and asked about why I couldn't get a full value on a trade and I never heard back.
