Never thought I'd buy a crossover.

So pleased with this vehicle, smooth comfortable ride, very reliable and very happy with the gas mileage. Large rear storage-large enough to put both of my disability scooters in and still close easily; also has spacious hidden area below yet above the spare tire storage (which is inside vehicle). Love that I am able to collapse rear seats from back of vehicle and open rear hatch/door with my foot.

A very good GM vehicle

All I can say to GM: bravo! And to you the reader: just test drive an Equinox! We have almost 5000 mi on our 2019 Equinox AWD 1LT. I am 6'3 and fit comfortably both up front and in the back seats without needing to adjust them. There's ample room in the trunk too, and with the seats folded, 8' long items fit with room to spare. Interior finish is balanced, well positioned and the audio system is on par for the class. All seats are very comfortable on long trips. The car is unexpectedly quiet! Acceleration even through 3000 rpm brings a slight hum below 30 mph. Above that, acceleration remains the only sensory clue you're picking up speed. Even at 75 mph, moving your hand over the steering wheel is the main contributor to cabin noise ! The 170 HP turbo (1.5L) is sufficient for all driving, short of competitive racing. I never had a problem merging into traffic, be it urban or interstate. There's no need to exceed 3000 rpm, except for life saving situations. In town, the engine will spend most of its time between 1200 & 1600 rpm. Fuel economy is very good for the class. A trip to JFK (about 350 mi round trip) returned 33.4 mpg average interstate & NY City traffic (FWD mode, trip computer checked by fill up, about half the tank was ethanol-free 91). The auto stop feature requires being "ahead of the car" in planning. While there's no override, this can be achieved by slow coasting (it needs about 1s at 0 mph with the foot on the brake to activate - hence coasting at 1 mph doesn't trigger it). Placing the car in neutral also leaves the engine on. The AWD feature is equally great in deep fresh snow or on steep slopes with loose gravel. It can be engaged as needed and the transition is seamless. It is very nice to have manual control and be able to deactivate it on dry roads or good driving conditions to save on wear and a little fuel. Outside visibility is very good. I am not sure what was in the way of those writing otherwise. Overall, this is a very good SUV, comfortable, capable and exceptionally quiet, with plenty of option levels to choose from.

2014 Equinox has the worst car I've ever owned les

I have a 2014 Equinox that I purchased with 20,000 miles on it from the Sierra dealer in Romeo and every time I've taken it back they said nothing was wrong with it nothing was wrong with it started with the head gasket at 30,000 miles Cadillac converters were bad cylinders were bad they didn't want to honor the work cracked manifold and most of all there's a seal between the rear main in the engine on the 2014 4 cylinder did I guess it's sensitive to cold weather which nobody said there isn't a recall and that Frozen the rear main blue on the car and of course the dealership doesn't want to warranty it I would never buy another Chevy product to my first and last Chevy and the way I've been treated by GM there's obviously problems with this motor the dealer didn't want to honor their warranty so I was left with about a $7,000 repair bill and I owed $28,000 on the car so I wouldn't recommend a Chevy to anybody

From a 2016 Equinox to a 2019 Equinox.

I leased this 2019 Equinox about 15 months ago. After driving a 2016 Equinox for about 3 years I thought I would really enjoy the new ride. I'll be honest, if I could got back I would have bought the 2016 which I had no problems with and really like driving, instead of leasing the new 2019. The 2019 has about 4 things I really dislike, 1st the auto-stop, has not made my mileage any better in fact this car is worse than the 2016 mileage wise. 2nd there is no adjustment for the seat belt, so I have to fight it rubbing. 3rd the heated seats turn themselves down,I have severe back problems and the high heat help. I also love my sunroof, but I have never had one that is this noisy when opened. You get a vibration noise when it's open all they way, and with all the windows open forget it. It makes me sad cause after the 2016 Equinox I was expecting so much better.
