Reliable vehicle
I was looking for a reliable vehicle for my wife to drive to work and transport the kids to and from. The Tuscon was it. I've never owned a Hyundai before, but I'm very pleased with this purchase. My wife loves it, and likes the fuel economy as well. For it being a smaller SUV it has a fairly decent amount of room. My wife is 5'0" so it's perfect for her. Even with me being 6'1" we can still fit 3 adults in the back seat with me driving. Definitely recommend this vehicle.

A great small SUV
Having owned and driven this vehicle for over 8 months, I can say that it is quite capable of what it is designed to do. We purchased the 2.0L SE trim level of this model, and so it came with many features like All Wheel Drive, backup camera, dual zone climate controls, a panoramic sunroof (which is absolutely massive), heated seats in the front and back, a heated steering wheel, and many off road features as well. I've driven it throughout one winter season and I had no problems with traction on ice and snow (mind you, I purchased a brand new set of good winter tires), the all wheel drive system is doing its thing and finding grip when needed. I haven't had a lot of opportunities to use the off road features, but the hill descent assist is pretty cool, though it might be a wasted feature if off roading isn't your thing. One other off road feature that it has is the all wheel drive lock, basically turning it into a 4-wheel drive vehicle (all wheels turn at the same rate). I was able to test this in deep snow conditions and I had no problems cutting through the snow like butter! I'm confident that it would work well in actual off road scenarios as well. This particular model also has a driving mode selector between 3 driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport. In town, I usually keep it in the Eco mode in an attempt to save on fuel. If you're conscious of that, you can actually achieve some amount of fuel saving when compared to driving it in Normal or Sport mode, but if you're a naturally aggressive driver you may not notice those fuel savings. Changing it to Sport mode, you will definitely notice a difference in how it drives and handles. If you're looking to drive quick down a windy road, this is the mode for you. The differences I've found is that it changes the gears at a higher RPM compared to Normal and Eco modes, and it somehow tightens up the steering a little bit too. As a result, you get poorer fuel mileage but a much more fun driving experience. Be warned, this isn't going to make it go any faster, per se, but accelerating and touching the gas pedal will feel much more responsive. On the topic of mileage, I live in a city where there are plenty of hills between my home and office, so city fuel mileage for me is around 12 L/100 km. Highways I find are much better though, approaching about 8.5 L/100 km, which nets me over 600 km of driving distance until I need to fill up again from a full tank. I've taken this vehicle on long journeys and it hasn't had any issues to date. It's been very comfortable, and climate controls are new to us so being able to set a temperature we want it at and leaving it is a really nice feature. We are very satisfied with what this vehicle is intended to do, and with the features available on our model. One thing that I wish this vehicle had was an extensive safety package, including pre-collision warning, lane departure warning, etc. These were available in the next trim level up for this model, but other companies make them available as additional options (Mazda CX-5, Nissan Rogue), or just have them standard in all trim levels (Toyota Rav4). Having those extra safety features limited to certain trim levels is a bit disappointing, but I hear that all 2019 Tucson's will come with those features standard, so my fingers are crossed!

Great Value, Slick, and Fun to Drive
Did my research and this car is comparable to other more expensive SUV's. I love the spacious interior, size of car overall. Has plenty of passenger room as well as cargo space.

I love this car. It's my second one
I previously leased 2013 Tuscon and loved it then. It is so comfortable to drive and be passenger in. It met all my needs for space. I participate in a lot of craft fairs, and it fits everything. I love the look of it, not to mention how it handles. It's great in the snow also. I can't say enough good things about this car. Like I said, it's my second one. I highly recommend this car to anyone in the market for an affordable, reliable SUV.

My first SUV and loving it..meets all my needs+
Great SUV for the value. Lots of options. Love the exterior and interior design. It could get a little better gas millage, but then again I do get an average of 29 MPG. Best of all I really got a super deal......still smiling. Now if I can only keep my wife from behind the steering wheel...

So far so good!
Currently own the 2017 tucson sport 1.6 turbo with DCT (Dual Clutch automatic Transmission). Its a fast little SUV. Transmission shifts quick and smooth. Many people have issues with them and complain about the transmission but, a DCT behaves a lot different than a conventional automatic. You should not keep creeping up when you?re in traffic or at a stop. You?re either on the break or the gas, no in betweens. Interior is ok, looks nice, feels nice but, it?s still a little ?cheap? when it comes to the plastics. Nothing too bad though, just noticeable when compared to others. Road noise with all the windows closed i would say is relatively higher than other cars i?ve driven. It?s not the quietest interior, i think Hyundai can do a little better on that. All in all, i think it comes at a fair price and no one beats the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty!
