Handles very well and is sporty with a lot of room

I had my Altima for 5 days and then found myself going home in a snow storm. It handled beautifully !! Still getting to know my car but I couldn’t be happier. I also think it has about as much room inside as my other car did.

My first brand new car

I decided on this car after driving a 2018 rental. This car is much more luxurious than the 18. I love everything about this car.

Great car overall with minimal shortcomings

If I could I would give the Altima more like 4.5 stars. The car overall is great. I will start with the good. The exterior design is beautiful. I've never had a desire to own an Altima besides the Altima Coupe back a few years ago, but this is a truly sporty and aggressively styled option. I purchased a Gun Metallic Platinum model so the 19" wheels add to the sport look. The car came standard with full LED headlights (hi and low beam) and fog lights, leather upholstery, Bose audio, 8" tablet style infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (standard on all models), 360 degree camera, moonroof, heated seats, heated steering wheel, 4 USB ports (2 in front, 2 in back, and one of each pair is a USB Type C) automatic forward and rear emergency breaking, blind spot monitors with rear cross traffic alert and pedestrian detection, and ProPilot assist which is a semi-autonomous driving system with my favorite feature being that the cruise works all the way to a stop and will start back up once traffic starts moving again. The system does allow the car to steer itself on well marked roads, but it takes getting used and the system isn't hands off and will turn off if there isn't pressure on the wheel for more than 10 seconds. The interior is a 4/5. It's not flashy but the set up is plush and smart and there aren't too many hard plastics. There are A LOT of soft touch much materials and only a few hard plastics here and there. The steering wheel is designed very nicely as well. The EPA is great, after about 1,500 miles I'm average 32.3mpg with a mix of city/highway but lots of stop and go traffic included, so great MPG. So now for the not so good, not bad, but not good. Performance is average, which is to be expected from a 188hp base engine. The car doesn't feel under powered, but coming from a Maxima, it is slower, but plenty peppy for communing. The premium Bose audio is pretty lackluster. It sounds better than standard audio systems, but again, coming from the Maxima with the 11 speaker system with Centerpoint, to this one with 9, it's a considerable difference and it's tough to modify, so if audio is your thing I suggest an S, SR, or SV that comes with the standard system and just purchase your own aftermarket equipment. The car doesn't have an accessory mode to just listen to the radio, etc. It's either full battery power, motor running or car off. The closest it has is when you turn the motor off or turn battery power off, the radio will remain on for about 10 minutes until it shuts off or you open a door, but if you want to sit in the car and listen to the radio for 20-30 minutes while on lunch, etc, you have to tap the push start twice to reset the cycle and keep it on another 10 minutes. All in all, it's a great car with just a couple of shortcomings, but MANY more pros than cons. My car stickered for about $33,500, but I got the price down to just below $30,000, for that money, you can't beat everything you get with the car.

This car is high tech!

This car has it all for my purposes. Great gas mileage, smart tech, comfort, smooth ride, great acceleration even for a 4 cylinder. They changed the exterior look of the 2019 and seems to me more stylish and sleeker looking.
