Exceeds expectations

I've owned this car for a month and it has exceeded my expectations. Plenty of power if I need it but also very smooth and simple to drive. And EFFICIENT. Averaging 32 mpg easy city driving if I drive like a casual grandpa. It almost idles down the highway at 60 mph at under 1500 rpms. iDrive onboard computer and navigation with headsup display makes driving so simple. Best car I've ever driven.

One of the best out there!

I owned a 2013 328i Xdrive and was looking to upgrade to an X5 Diesel. The dealer (Sun motors, PA) had a 2014 535d Xdrive as a CPO and once I test drove it, I knew this was the one. It drives great, built like a tank and has an astonishing fuel economy. I average about 33/37 regularly. The tires tend to wear out easily given the weight and the fact it is run-flat. Otherwise, this car is a keeper for sure. BMW sales and service has been nothing short of great, but is a bit expensive to maintain than a regular car, but the overall experience trumps all of it. Completely worth it!

Best luxury sedan I've owned

American car makers can learn a lot from this model. I average 32 mpg combined. The stock power was great but I wanted more and with a simple and inexpensive Malone tune I'm at 390/525. The thing is quite simply a work of art. Comfortable, quiet, confident, powerful and great mileage. The H&K sound system and heads up display round it out. Put it in eco mode on long road trips for 600+ miles per tank. Put it in sport mode and make other 4 door sedans on the road feel inadequate...

Best Car I have owned.

This is the best car I have ever owned. Its beautiful, sleek, classy and super sporty as well. So much torque for a car that can get up to 600 mile per tank. Diesel is the way to go to get the combination of power and fuel economy. This is an old technology that is in use mostly in Europe and not as well known in the US. Love this car

Smooth, Quiet Ride with Amazing Torque

This BMW Diesel delivers great performance, high mileage, excellent comfort, and a very stable ride. In addition, its reliability exceeds expectations whether just touring or participating in a club ride. Tracks very positively and easily displays its BMW presence and status.

Best car I have ever owned

I bought my 2016 535d in San Francisco and drove it home to WA ST the same day. The car was a demo and had 824 miles on it, but it was absolutely like brand new. The sticker was $66,500 and I got it for $49,000 due to it being last years model and having 824 miles on it. I love this car! It is so comfortable and has a ton of power. The stereo is also amazing. I got 37.8 mpg on the 700 mile drive home while going 70-80 mph. I hit some snow near Mt. Shasta and the car handled it beautifully. I just can't say enough good things about this awesome vehicle.

Ultimate driving for real

I have the 535d xDrive. This car is awesome. It is wonderful on fuel. I get 550 miles on a full tank of gas. The performance is insane. The car has 4 drive modes. It defaults to Comfort and it drives like a Lexus. But you can put it in Eco Pro mode and it drives like a 4 cylinder or you can put it in Sports mode and its as fast as a Corvette. Since I'm a moody driver, this is perfect for me. My car is fully loaded, including the Heads up display. The interior is awesome for us gadget folks and the Navigation has never steered me wrong. I have only one knock and that, for the price, the Tesla might have been a better overall value. I say that because Teslas require zero maintenance. Overall, awesome car.
