2018 BMW M550 consumer reviews

Have this car for 3 years and it’s been nothing but pleasure. Subtle looking on the outside, cruising beast on the inside. Drove other BMWs and not have been as boss feeling car as this one.

price per mileage is way too high…. for 9k more grab urself a 550i with 50k less miles and better history lol these guys are tweaking.

A fantastic car. Fast, Comfortable, High Tech and Beautiful. Mediterranean Blue Metallic over Black Nappa Leather. Twin Turbo V8. This is my fourth BMW, and by far the Best.

Car has many things I liked such as very fast and soft ride and a few negatives such as no heated seats or apple car play as they are options on this $80K car. I feel they should be standard at this price, I mean really $300 for apple car play as an option on a $80K car. overall its a big premium for this 8 cylinder engine.

It was good. I have problems with the passenger seatbelt beeper going off all the time even when no one sitting there. I also had problems with some of the electrical.

What is there not to say about my 2018 M550. It is all the car that you could ever want whether we’re just cruising nice and quiet on the highway or if you want to white knuckle down the road it is the ultimate driving machine!!!

This car is amazing. Great ride and super car performance in one car. The car has great safety characteristics as we found out firsthand. My family was rearended by an 18 wheeler that hit us at 55MPH and we all walked away with minor neck and back pain. My wife who hates cars told me to order a new one right away and it arrives this month. Only thing I would caution is with the 20inch wheels get the tire and wheel coverage and put some cash aside. The tires handle and ride amazing, but you are going to have side wall damage if you hit a pothole. If you have winter weather or bad roads go with the 18s. I was wrecking a tire every 6 months. At $500 the tire and wheel coverage pays for itself fairly quickly. That being said I still opted for the 20s on both orders.

Love it. I have had 2 M5's in the past and wanted the performance but not the $$$ of the M5 just for everyday driving. The M550i fit the bill in SPADES! Great performance for the money compared to the M5.

This was an awesome car until I recieved the news that my 2018 M550 with 4,340 miles on it needed a new motor as the factory one had such damage and needed replacement . I custom ordered this auto that had a 90k msrp. It was broken in by the book and was babied and still this happened. What the best part was BMW will only replace it with a remanufactured motor destroying resale value when you go to sell it. So if you are considering this auto I would suggest that you review some of the BMW forms and then only lease the auto and wouldn?t buy it like I did. The sad part is BMW really does have a great car here. The car is super fast and at the same time rides like it is on air. Just to bad when issues like this come up on a new car they feel it is acceptable to put a remanufactured motor in destroying resale values.

The car has so many great qualities - but the dealer ordered it with 20 inch low profile tires - and they are a disaster - I have had three critical sidewall breakdowns in the tires in 7 months of ownership. Cost is over $500 each and the time loss is silly. Disappointing because the car is so good in so many other ways.
