Love my Enclave

I have had Toyota's for years and had considered a Highlander but my Enclave has made a Buick lover out of me. It is a wonderful automobile with really neat options. The lumbar seats are wonderful and the headlights that turn the corner before the car is really a nice feature. The backup feature is very helpful. I am so glad I bought my Enclave.

Pretty bad car.

Well lets see, I'll start off with having transmission problems. It starts having shifting problems when I try getting on the interstate... And then it feels like something is pulling back on it really hard when I go 70. I have to keep my foot down on the accelerator almost al the way to the floor. GM says sorry, they cannot correct it... The car only has around 3,500 miles. OnStar keeps sending me diagnostic tests that say my car is perfectly fine, so then I got fed up with it and bought a fully loaded Toyota Highlander. (2008 model), It now has almost 10,000 miles w/NO problems and still loving it. My wife will litterally fight me (lol) to drive it sometimes. I am never gonna buy another GM product after since they lied and OnStar keeps sending me lies about my (once had) Enclave being ok.

Not a good start

I am thoroughly disappointed with my new Enclave. The transmission is totally screwed. I took it back at 5K and they put it on the computer and said they needed to make "minor" adjustments. Minor is right because I see no difference. The car wants to slow down on the interstate while pulling modest hills up to 10 mph before it jumps from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm. It is even worse with the cruise on. Also getting lousy gas mileage, 17 -19.1 with mostly interstate driving at 70mph. The heat/air con system needs improvements. Vents cannot be re-direct vary far to balance the temperatures. The system wants to heat or cool but not maintian an even climate. On the positive side, I love the comfort and styling.

enjoy the car

Several problems with passenger airbag and brake system/stability track. Service brake light repetively comes on when turning and stopping. Original service on this problem stated brake fluid was low. Again having problems with this and car started shaking uncontrollably while driving expressway. This felt like a flat tire, but tires were fine. Passenger air bag sensor was replaced because the airbag did not always turn on w/ an adult in the seat.

I am in love

My car BMW X3 was in the shop because i got in an accident. I reluctantly rented this car because I have never seen it before or heard about it but i liked how it looked. i sat in it and i was blown away by the interior. Driving was like a dream very smooth. you ride really high so you can see everything. the mirrors are set perfectly (i hate the blind spots on most suv's). When i drove it to work on Monday all my co-workers were standing out front looking at it. in LA its all about the car and if a buick gets noticed where everybody else is driving bentley's and ferrari's then thats saying a lot. only problem was trying to figure out how to open the gas tank (you just push it and it pops open) and trying to figure out how to use the climate control in the front seats. OH YAH I am going to buy one in February... LOL

Well thought out vehicle

We really love our AWD CXL. Both the utility and styling of this vehicle brought us to the dealership. The fit and finish were the final details that won us over. The interior is well laid out and the leather seats are very comfortable. The quality of materials is a dramatic improvement for GM and is at least on par with the imports. The convenience and comfort of the third row seat is unmatched by the competition. I was indifferent about the backup camera but after getting in and out of some tight parking spaces, I consider it a must have item. The road manners for this vehicle are above average considering it's size and weight. We have the 19 inch wheels which probably help the handling characteristics. Thus far we have averaged 19 mpg in mixed driving. This is about what we expected with the AWD option. The engine provides adequate acceleration but a few more horsepower is always appreciated. Overall, this is a great vehicle.

One significant complaint

Test drove and loved the Enclave, lacked a little power but seemed adequate. All Enclave literature on the Buick website and brochure show a console between the second row seats, but this is not available. Tried to order through dealer, but there is no indication when this console will be available. Very Frustrating.

A Beautiful Buick

After shopping around, my wife and I decided to buy the Enclave. It was better than anyother cross-over on the market; yes, including the over rated Toyota's. The fit and finish is excellent and the third row space is best in class. GM spent alot of time on this car!!
