very reliable vehicle, no problems

able to haul what we need for just the two of us, empty nesters. we no longer have to haul kids to various events or large dogs to the vets. but sometimes we miss that

Great Value-Great Ride-Great Technology

Smooth, quiet, powerful. All Wheel Drive. Luxurious interior, fit and finish becoming of Buick. Loads of entertainment, safety, comfort and performance tech. Only surprise was to discover that it was built by Hyundai, but that's OK - they build great cars too.

Love this car!

The car looks good inside and out. We got an excellent deal. I like the SUV look but it's not so long it handles really good.

Encore edges out GMC Terrain

We initially used cars.com to shop for a 2014 or newer GMC Terrain....but kept getting Buick Encore info back from dealers...so we checked one out and purchased it. All-in-all, the Encore has some more 'high end' features but is not as large as the Terrain...it was a bit of a tradeoff. We've not taken the Encore on any extended road trips so not sure of the mileage but hope it falls into the low 30's as we've read. Feels a lot smaller inside, miss the armrests on the passenger side. Like the wood grain feature and the enhanced radio, playback features. Trunk space is a bit disappointing but adequate for most travel. It's smaller body style makes it easier to park. Saved several thousand over a similar Terrain model--same year, mileage, features, etc. Those factors pretty much sealed the deal for the Buick.

in LOVE

I love everything about my Buick Encore! I really wanted something with AWD that could survive the rough roads and snow in Wyoming and Colorado while also getting great gas mileage-- and this was in! I bought my car used, so the only complaints is that my automatic starter doesn't work properly and sometimes the drivers side window malfunctions when being rolled up/down.

Tail Gate

I totally forgot about the tail gate (lift gate) when looking at this car. . I love Buicks, but this is one feature that is a must have for me and this one does not have it. So I am trading it in on the Enclave or Cadillac SRX. I am a senior lady and absolutely need a power lift gate. Unfortunately Encore does not have this.
