I'm loving my truck...
Wow the new turning radius for these trucks is much better than the silverado I had several years ago. Chevy has always had nice interiors but my small worry was the quality of materials inside. So far, the console/armrest has not broken. I've seen a lot of that type of thing happen in chevy trucks ranging from 2000 to 2002. Other than that, plenty of informative devices giving me all of the info I need ranging from tire pressure to engine oil life. Plenty of power for the engine displacement so I won't be dreading the occasional trailer pull.

I am defiantely not switching from Ford
This was a decent vehicle. It was comfortable, BUT, not quite as comfortable as the Ford or it didnt have as much power. It was decent, but the Ford F150 has beat it by far, room, style, comfort and power....

This is a Great Truck!
I've had my Avalanche for about a month now. It is a great truck. I have the LT 4x4 with the 5.3L engine. Most of my driving is a combination of city and expressway (so far). I've had no problems whatsoever and this truck is everything I could ask for. The Interior is great, especially the Bose sound system. I added the hands free phone to my cell phone account for only 10$ a month, it's a very cool and useful option. The back-up warning is recommended due to visibility restrictions, especially for shorter drivers, as my wife says. I do wish the drivers seat adjusted better for height, I'm tall and sometimes I wish I was a little lower to the floor when driving. The Stabiltrack system is very cool too. Looking forward to winter snows to really try the 4WD.

I can't believe it is a truck
This is the most feature rich car I've owned, and I've owned two German luxury cars before. Ride is great, smooth, although I wish the transmission was 5 or 6 speed. Quiet, excellent features, the redesign of the exterior and interior from the 2006 makes this seem like a completely different car and manufacturer. Has so many features I doubt I will use them all. Very pleased with the truck.

Unique, and fun
I have owned my new 2007 LTZ for about three weeks, and 400 miles of driving. So far, running up and down the foothills west of Denver, in and out of city traffic has netted about 14.5 mpg, but that is from my so-far-very rare 6.0 liter V8, with 4.10 gears. I bought the avalanche to haul big boy toys deeper into the rockies from my home in comfort, and with room for my family. This rig is miles ahead of any gas-powered truck of which I am aware. But, hopefully, if I trade it for another avalanche in three or four years, I will be able to buy its then-current version with a diesel. That would be true perfection in power, economy, and utility.

2007 Avalanch 2wd LT ... Excellent
Initial impressions are that this is an excellent vehicle (although we we have only had our 2wd 2007 Avalanche LT a couple weeks). Performance meets my expectations and exceeds in some areas. It handles more like a large car than a truck with cornering and parking. Power is as expected. With a reasonable load maintains spead up and down the Arizona mountains with little effort and smooth shifting. Handles dirt/gravel road and washboard well. I am very happy with gas milage (I expected worse). Note that I am pretty easy on the gas pedal ... Mountain driving turned in 19.5 mpg. Looks like flat highway driving should be around 21 - 22 mpg. The 4 / 8 cylinder fuel management system appears to really help on the highway for mpg, yet the power is there when you need it. Howerver, short trips of 1 - 2 miles in the city really drop the mpg. Lots of cool features and everything works as advertized. Midgate is great for converting from "truck" mode to "SUV people" mode. Other notable items - Interior is very quite (quieter than our Acura TSX). Bose stereo sounds great. Redesigned dash is looks good and is practical. Its too early to know about reliability, but as new there were no factory defects. Two suggestions. Rear visibility is very limited. At best you will only see the roof of a mid size car behind you at a traffic light. Suggest getting the backup sensors (they were not on ours). If you drive dirt / gravel roads add the mud flaps (I just ordered these, expect they should help). Without the cladding from prior years (which was ugly), the lower body takes a lot of hits from stones kicking up on dirt roads.

Elegant and Versatile
The classy style, smooth ride, and versatile use make this the ideal automobile. The exterior is elegant and inviting. The interior is warm and inviting. The instrument panel is driver friendly. The versatility makes this automobile. more than just another truck. The LS comes loaded with a good selection of standards. The aux/input is an added benefit.

Grown Up
This truck has it all. It also has the maturity now of a design that is refined. the V4/V8 modes work seemlessly. Options with fuel is great. The Styling, Ride, and Utility is great. After only a few hundred miles. Works as advertised.
