Go with the v6!!!

I bought this 2011 2LT v6 with leather and all the chrome a few months ago for my wife. I think the thing is ugly as heck, especially in the champagne color with the brown leather interior, but the wife loves it so... We love the adjustable back seat, and the sheer amount of leg room back there. I have a Saab 9-5 which is fine back there, but the Equinox is miles better for rear seat room. Easily fit 3 adults back there! Once we decided on this generation of Equinox, we went around and test drove a bunch (and the GMC Terrain as well, same car, different sheet metal). I was about to put the kibosh on the Equinox due to the 4cyl sounding like it was always straining. Then we found this one with the v6. Wow, what a difference. Smooth quiet power. The difference between the two engines is day and night. The v6 seems to be a rare bird. As a $1500 option when it was new, that doesn't seem like a ton of money to step up to this engine. And all the bad reviews I've read about the drivetrain are talking about the 4 cyl, not the v6. While I still prefer the comfort of my Saab, my wife hauls around kids and gear. There's plenty of room for everything she needs with this SUV. And coming from a Ford Explorer, she is way happier than she was with the Ford.

Worst car I've ever owned.

This car power steering light keep say there is a leak. When I turn the switch on its so loud have to let it run to use down. Have to keep putting oil on it. Don't know why it's burning oil so fast. Now it's smells like gas on the inside whenever we turn on the vents. This is just bad. You should have a recall on the 2011 model's because everyone I know with a vehicle same make and model have had the same problems. Something need to be done.

Best car I own

This car had so much room for my whole family and always drove so great. Gas mileage is so good! And cheap to fill it up!

Nice Car

I wanted a reliable, used SUV and am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend the Equinox. It has plenty of leg room for a tall person

GREAT USED CAR FOR WORK TRAVEL

I own a 2016 GMC Terrain and a 2016 GMC Sierra and was needing a vehicle for work travel. This has been the best used vehicle for the money and has great gas mileage and meets all my needs for work.

Not the best car I have owned

I had a lot of problems with the Equinox. I was constantly having to find a ride because I had to leave it with the mechanic. Seemed like some light or another was always on. Also, had to replace the transmission at 108,000 miles. I ended up trading it in before I paid it off which I have never done before. I usually drive a car for 10-12 years before upgrading...not this one.

Sweet so far

This vehicle is gorgeous on the inside. Not too bad on the outside either. 106k miles and it rides beautifully. Very happy so far. Only have it for 3 days but I am impressed.

Love my equinox

Drives so smooth. Not a huge suv but big enough. Very comfortable car. Easy to get in and out of especially having a small child!
