Purchased this S10, 4.3 V-6, 5-speed, 2wd pickup ten years ago for $2000 dollars. It already had 98,000 miles. The performance of the V-6 was shocking, it had great power. Little did I know, this little maroon truck would last forever and keep going. I now have 248,000 miles, have done next to nothing to it, and even as a 2wd drive has gotten me through Denver winters. It is a freak, nothing goes wrong, and it has no end in sight. Literally, this truck ended up being THE SINGLE BEST PURCHASE I EVER MADE.

A great vehicle. With the 4 cylinder engine you can get great gas mileage AND it still has a truck bed for any utilities. great for someone who needs a daily driver, winter beater, and truck all in one.

Chevy S-10 was a real peach of a truck. It handled great and was super clean and in fine condition. Very low mileage for an older car.

I have owned this truck for 16 years. I have only done normal maintenance on the truck. Best small truck.

The 4.3 Vortec is very reliable, surprisingly powerful, and smooth, My truck was purchased new in 1997 and now has 200K on the odometer with under $2000 in repairs. No problems for the first 140,000 then it needed some repairs, being I like the car to run well and it has been such a great car, I went all the way and replaced the front end suspension (very affordable), fuel pump, water pump, radiator, a couple of sensors, a couple of gaskets and the a/c compressor. The paint is in great condition and no problems with the interior (except for the seat handles and 3rd door handle which was under $20 to repair. I I think I will keep it for another 200,000 miles..
