Pretty but not reliable

I purchased a brand new 2019 Traverse in August 2018 Redline edition I've taken it in for service. First time it was the catalytic converter. Second time well let's just say they're trying to figure it out. I have less than 15,000 miles on it and it's the most trouble I've had with a vehicle. With a warranty of only 30,000 from a chevy dealership is scary. Thinking about taking my money elsewhere.

Great Chevy Traverse

I traded in my 2011 Traverse for the 2019 High Country model and have not been disappointed. I like to be able to shift between AWD and FWD, it has all the latest electronics ( Apply Play, WiFi, wireless charging), and all the safety features (rear camera, sensors all around, collision avoidance).

Issues with a 2019 AWD Traverse.

Currently at dealership for second time this week. It makes a clunky sound when turning knob to AWD. Leased it in Nov. 2018 and has less than 3000 miles. Anyone?

Undriveable

The auto stop and start function makes the vehicle a nightmare to drive. I constantly look for ways to avoid the car turning off by shifting into neutral, using the L 9 gear etc. it doesn't matter, paid top dollar for a vehicle that is stressful and sickening to drive. Additionally, the heat / ac controls are very poorly laid out, poorly labeled, and require you to stop and really search for the right button to hit. The vehicle is loud, mirrors are small and difficult to use, horribly made across the board. Adding insult, it cost a small fortune. Horrible vehicle. If I had only purchased through that car buying group, i could have returned it.

Best bang for your buck for a third row SUV

We needed a third row SUV for our 3 girls. Test drive a lot of different options and found that the traverse was the best for our budget. Comes very well equipped and is a good looking vehicle! Can’t wait to take a family trip in it!!

Beware of Automatic Stop/Start Engines

Actually purchased this vehicle but returned it and reversed the purchase the same day when I discovered (to my chagrin) that the engine would shutdown and restart when stopped in traffic. It was VERY disconcerting and not mentioned by the salesperson. I had only drove it around the dealer parking lot before buying it and this feature had not kicked-in. What really was the deal breaker was finding that there is NO WAY to bypass this feature!

Dinghy tow not reliable

Traded a great 2014 Equinox for the 2019 Traverse to dinghy tow behind our RV. Equinox was a tad bit small for what we needed. Equinox towed like a champ. Traverse battery went dead with the Patriot braking system, so I disconnected it and followed ALL instructions in the manual to dinghy tow the Traverse and towed it for 4 1/2 hours to destination. DEAD BATTERY. Not happy at all. This is the beginning of softball season and we follow it all around the US. So now we are concerned about towing the Traverse.
