Better for milder climates?
Pros: I love the mileage spring through fall, but it drops 10-15+ mpg when temps are under 32°... 1/4 of the year in these parts... Great head and leg room front & back seats. Amazing cargo capacity if/when you need it. Peppy if/when you need it. Cons: Reduced winter mileage (26 to 30 mpg vs 42 to 50 spring through fall). My average mpg is 42.5. Less than impressive heating system (I use a lap blanket even with heated seats) Chronic rear latch open/close failure...dealer replaced it summer 2018 but same problem continues. No 4WD/all wheel drive available. Overall a decent ride, but definately not best for colder climates. Last year melting snow refroze overnight in the space between the rear roof end and the top of the rear hatch... the resulting ice blocked the rear hatch from opening until it melted and drained out of the gap. The hatch open and close failures were well established before this event. I have visited the service department repeatedly and still the rear hatch does not open and close when the correct buttons are pressed. I also need an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle, and enough cabin heat to beat northern winter temps... ready to look for something else.

Most economical car I have ever owned & fun too
This will be our forever car - averaging 41.8 mpg since new. Can travel over 500 miles 0n a 10 to 11 gallon fill up. Very comfortable & practical - small suv/crossover has plenty of space. With hybrid system it drives well with good pickup. Wife & I both love it.

Love it
I have had several vehicles including a Suburban and this Ford Edge is my favorite. I owned a Ford Fusion and loved that but wanted something with Awd and off the ground. My fusion has over 300,000 and still running that?s why I recommend Ford products.

Very reliable
We bought this 2 years ago in November. We traded in our Escape and started looking at something bigger. The salesman brought this around, just asked me to sit in it to see if I liked it. First time I'd ever driven a hybrid. Since then we've made several long trips in it and average around 42 mpg. Other than repairing a HVAC blend door and radio touch screen, no issues at all. Very well built

Mr Si Max
This car is compact, yet very roomy inside. Very good fit and finish. It has a lot of power compared to the 2010 Prius I use to own. The car handles very well and big improvement in the viewing area, with wide viewing angles in the front. No obstructing pillars as in the Prius that often blocked my vision to pedestrians. The side mirrors have a smaller viewing mirror that enables you to see your blind spots. Simple and effective. The gas millage is good, averaging 42.5. Not as good as the Prius, which got 50 MPGs in the summer, but would drop down to 40 MPGs in the winter. The interior quality of materials is very good, and the seats have lumbar support. Very happy with the car so far.

First New Car
I bought a 2016 C-Max SEL model new less than six months ago, and it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've only put about 5k miles on it, but I average between 39-41 miles per gallon depending on the day and it's been smooth, quiet, head and leg room is great, generous cargo space for the size of the car, it has met all of my needs so far. Very happy with this purchase.

Great little vehicle
I wanted a small, economical commuter vehicle. Nothing flashy, nothing that will signal to the world about the driver's insecurities and neurosis'... Just something that will reliably bring me from point a to b in a safe and extremely comfortable.

Love my first hybrid
After owning many cars over the past 40+ yrs I decided last year to buy my first hybrid. After extensive research I chose a low mileage 2016 CMax SEL Hybrid over the more $$$ Prius. Besides saving $$$ & buying American I LOVE this car!!! Great look, average 48 mpg, excellent handling, rapid acceleration, high end features, great height, quiet/comfortable ride. Not one issue thus far. Can't understand why Ford does so little to advertise this great model. People contantly tell me they never heard of it, their loss & Ford's.

Great car, comfort, and great mileage.
I had a 2013 and loved it. I upgraded with this one got the leather and all upgrades. It's awesome. Has great pick up for a small utility vehicle and I average 42 to 44 MPH. My large dog fits in the rear with seats down and loves it. Takes the roads and mountains very well. Couldn't ask for better car for its price. Kudos to Ford. No split rear window like the Prius has.
