2014 Ford Transit Connect consumer reviews

2014 Titanium, 3rd owner, now has 36K miles. This is the Grampa Van. The 3 grandkids (12, 8, 4) fit in nicely with enough room to keep elbows from getting into others spaces. Spacious; I moved two twin beds with thick mattresses and box springs in one trip. I especially like the long flat roofline. This one has factory rails and crossbars I can spread out to about 6’ which is adequate for my 16’ wood & canvas canoes. (Never feel safe strapping a canoe on crossbars that are the typical 3 ft apart. That would leave 6-1/2 ft of canoe hanging off the back and front of the rack!) Problems after driving this for 10 months and 10K miles: The bumper material should wrap further front and back; someone tapped the front right corner and creased the metal fender; a longer bumper would have been better protection. Radar / parking assist sensors no longer work. Folding mirrors just stopped working. At $100 plus per hour for chasing wiring through the cladding, I’ll live with no sensors or folding mirrors. Sockets that are supposed to seat the sliding door pins are weak; I just replaced 2 of 4 after they were pulled apart when opening the doors. Owners manual is a nightmare. (Yes, I actually tried to read it to learn maintenance intervals and entertainment system.) One of the second row folding seats sometimes gets stuck up or down and takes a lot of rattling around to get the latch to release. I pulled off one of the straps meant for pulling the floor panels over the folded seats. I hope to take it and the grandkids camping this summer. It should be great, if the Titanium model’s electric gadgets will just keep working.

This Vehicle meets my needs for work. Just right size, easy to drive, handles well in tight areas. Very good gas mileage and lots of pep.

This van meets all my expectations. Has plenty of room for up to 7 passengers. 3rd row seating and the ride feels so smooth. If you?re thinking of a nice comfortable van. I would recommend this model.

I drive one now and i love the leg room the handling of the transit the versatility of uses I 've recommended to many many people . young and old love to drive my transit connect.

We are a family of seven and finding a vehicle that comfortably sits us all while not breaking the bank at the gas station is a must. The Ford Transit van is that vehicle. It gets excellent gas millage while being comfortable and easy to drive. I am in love with my ford transit.

Don't waste your money! Don't waste your money! Cheaply made with plastic and below average accessories. Road noise is almost unbearable, be sure to turn radio on loud. Seats plastic mould keeps breaking, poor gas mileage for four cylinder. DO NOT BUY - DO NOT BUY.

love it I can transport 7 people pull a 16 foot camping trailer up the hills near Watkins Glen and Hammondsport ny and still get 16 miles to the gallon.

I love the looks and great MPG this vehicle gets. I purchased it because of it's ability to transport stuff which it does in great fasion.
