Great Car for the money - because it lasts forever

This car was easy to drive, had great pickup, and the engine/transmission will never die. I've tried to kill it, and it won't die.

413,000 miles and counting

Outside of the well known transmission issues (Honda paid 50% at 110,00 miles) the reliabilty has been outsatnding on my EX V6 sedan.

One of the best used sedans on the market

I just recently purchased an Accord with over 180k miles on it, and the car looks, runs, and drives like it came off the showroom. Honda really did something special with the 03-07 Accords, specially the V6 model, which I cannot recommend enough. It has more power than you'll ever need and drives and handles much more like a luxury vehicle than a cheap sedan. And did I mention reliability? These things are bulletproof. The V6 engines never skip a beat and although I can't speak personally for the 4 cylinder model I'm sure it's just as good. You can never go wrong with a Honda but this is about as good as it gets. 10/10

2004 Honda Accord Ex 6 cylinder NOT reliable

The 2004 Honda Accord 4 cylinder is very reliable. The 2004 Honda Accord 6 cylinder is NOT reliable. Expect to replace the transmission @ about 100,000 due to a transmission design mistake. Additionally, the 6 cylinder EX has a timing belt NOT a timing chain. Expect to replace this as well. Both of these items are big ticket expenses. When we purchased the car I expected Honda reliability to be high. We had no idea the 6 cylinders were poorly designed.

A friend has this same car, its looks are deceiving. Its a hot car in a Honda body! Go figure. Its reliable, comfortable, sporty and still gets 31 mpg on the hiway.

good car

iThe accord is a good car but the colour is off ,I have noticed that the hood the roof and the trunk lid are slightly different in coulor. This is noticable on all silver and light coloured accords. The engine developed a slight shutter and is only noticable with the brake applied and in drive. Otherwise it is a good car.
