$20 bucks a tank!!!
I love this car for in city and highway travel. Suspension should be upgraded for those with back problems, but I haven't had any issues with this and i enjoy taking long trips with it as the seats fold up and the hatchback comes down. You can haul a lot of stuff with this puppy.

Drive, Bit of gas, Sched Maintenance, Repeat
We've owned 9 Hondas. The first one in 1985. They are no/low maintenance. The FIT's gas mileage is good. Nav and bluetooth are great. The hatchback is handy.

Best car of its kind!
I had my Honda Fit for almost 5 years already . I drove him everywhere I go, putting up a whopping 75,000 miles already but it still runs like new. It may look small but I bet you, it could carry unexpected amount of stuff that makes you say like "Whoah!" I love this car so much, it is so reliable and very dependable.

Gas saver, easy to park and roomy.
I'm a 6'2" and I used to drive this in southern California going to work. I purchase mine from Hayward California and drove it to San Diego. spend maybe 1.5 full tank of gas. Has plenty of room. I can fit a whole twin size mattress by folding the 2nd seat. If I will get a chance to buy again,I will buy the same year model 2013 sport.

Spacy but love it.
I just bought this vehicle as a trade in from my 2000 Honda Civic; I was really nervous at first but now I absolutely love it. The seat fold up or down in the back, which creates an amazing trunk room as well as it is still small enough to get good gas mileage.

Interior design tour de force
This car is small and yet magically reconfigures to swallow large cargo items in need of transport and accommodates up to 4 passengers in greater comfort than many larger cars. The interior is a bit spartan but more than makes up for this with its endless utility. Sight lines are terrific. The engine is small but responsive and well matched to the car itself. The car is full of small design elements that will enhance your life in ways that you can't imagine. It is an amazing value proposition.

Great car
Very versatile small car. The back seats good flat or good up to reveal a ton of cargo space. Perfect car for ridesharing as well.

Terrific for the money, & versatile for any size!
This review only applies to the second generation Honda Fit. Actually it only applies to the 2009 to 2013 models which were all gasoline powered cars. For the 2014 only Honda sold same car body and many components in the U.S. as an electric car. The first generation was sold in other countries prior to coming to the United States for the 2007 and 2008 model years. Like all vehicles there are some compromises. The seats are comfortable but thecheap fabric looks like it will require re-upholstery well in advance of the 200K miles I believe I'll have the car. However, the car steers well, and it tracks well and offers good outward visability. The rear seats are a rare gem. They fold absolutely flat, something rarely or never found in other cars. other cars. Not only do the sides of the rears seats fold separately as in many cars, the Fit has Honda's "Magic Seat." The rear seat cushions bottom fold up against the upright seat back on either or both sides. That makes it possible to put tall items in the rear seat that would never fit in the rear cargo area of any car or the rear seat area of other makes and models that don't have fold up seat cushions. Even as a small car, the Fit has enough pep for pulling out or passing. The ride is smooth enough out on the highway for a trip of three or four hours. One drawback though is that it was designed and engineered about a decade ago and it doesn't have many of the fuel saving technologies found in newer cars. It gets fine fuel economy for people accustomed to one generation earlier small cars. High 20s MPG in city and low 30s MPG on the Highway. That is low by today's standards (2017) but this generation FIT was originally released for the 2009 model year and designed and engineered in the years leading up to then A bit of caution when considering a used 2009 through 2013 Fit. In 2009-2011 model years only the top of the line Fit Sport with built in Navigation System included very important safety systems all new cars come with today. Those are Traction Control and Stability Control. If you buy any 2012 or 2013 Fit both Traction Control and Stability Control are standard on all models! I prefer a traditional control panel without Built in Navigation but I bought a 2013 Fit Sport (without Navigation.) Because it is a 2013 model it has these essential safety features. Please consider only cars with Traction Control and Stability Control. The accident you don't have because of one or both of these technologies will make you glad you insisted on buying a car that has them! Note: Safety Features only improve safety if you drive as you always did. When someone feels they can take new risks because the safety features will protect them, the safety features may not offset the riskier driving. Overall 2009 - 2011 Fit Sport with Built in Navigation and all 2012 - 2013 Honda Fits are great cars to have. All have Cruise Control, Power Door Locks, Power Window with driver's side auto up and auto down. All models have Remote Keyless entry while all sport models add an alarm system to the remote keyless entry. Among the wide variety of accessories available through the dealer is a rear cargo area privacy cover that goes up and down as the hatch is opened and closed. The cargo cover is easily removed when you want to put larger items in through the rear hatch. Among others who just like ther versatility of such a car for any reason (like me,) I imagine college students taking things back and forth from school to home or moving around at college (oh so many years ago,) Antiquers looking for smaller to medium items (not large furniture,) yard sale aficionados, and anyone else who has no idea what the'll see and want to bring home; the "Magic Seat" gives you wonderful versatility only offered by Honda! All year Fits and a newer Fit based small Crossover Utility Vehicle (a pretend SUV on a car Chassis) called H-RV made alongside the 2015 and Newer Fit have the "Magic Seat." If you like the idea of having a "Magic Seat, but prefer a new or newer car I don't have the experience to recommend a 2015 or newer Fit or the Fit based HR-V I mentioned but I do a couple things to say about them. While both have the "Magic Seat," if you don't need All Wheel Drive (optional on the HR-V) the Fit not only costs less than HR-V, the Fit gets better Fuel Economy because its lighter and less wind passes underneath the car height Fit than the raised HRV. Check for reliable info on newer models.
