Powerful SUV without turbo worries

I love the space and stance of the Pilot. In the age where everything is juiced up with a turbo I enjoy the tried and true V6. It has great visibility and decent gas mileage (22 mpg) for a vehicle this size. It has ample room for 45 adults and plenty of storage room for luggage. If you don’t need a third row seat or entertainment for the kiddos this is the vehicle for you. I anticipate great reliability without the turbo straining to put out extra horsepower.

Fantastic SUV with a few wish list items

I echo all of the comments from others about the great styling choices especially the front grill and rear, smooth and quiet ride, strong V6, etc. It's a good looking vehicle and my wife loves that the drivers seat can sit very high and the center console storage for her bag. Very spacious and comfortable second row and a ton of storage space and thoughtful storage cubbies. The shifter does take some getting used to but it's fine. I actually prefer the blind spot warning on the inside of the car for when the windows are foggy. The Touring is well worth the upgrade IMO. I don't see the value in the Elite though unless you have to have the black wheels. Elite adds intermittent wipers which are annoying, ventilated seats which don't seem to do anything and a wireless charger which you can add as an accessory later if desired. There are a few changes I would recommend to Honda: 1.) Allow us to set the auto engine off feature to off by default instead of having to disable it after every startup. We shouldn't be forced into it. Hopefully this is a future software upgrade. 2.) As others have mentioned the forward collision mitigation system generates too many false alarms. Hopefully this is a future software upgrade. 3.) We miss the passenger side blind spot camera we had in the Odyssey that was triggered by the turn signal. Would love to have that feature back. 4.) Panoramic sunroof please. 5.) Maybe put the blind spot monitoring on the mirrors also (in addition to the interior location)? Both locations are useful. 6.) Put a motor in the rear view mirror like the outside mirrors and make it part of the driver fob memory settings. How lazy am I!

Great Honda

I traded a Pilot in as this car is basically the same but a little shorter. It seems to have more power. Very nice vehicle wife loves it.

Best car

The car has met my needs. It is very comfortable. Has plenty of room. I was concerned about giving up my 3rd row seats but I have not had any issues so far. Still have plenty of cargo space.

Everything's great except interior controls

The transmission shifter is awkward to use, particularly reverse. The location of the button requires that you look down to see what you're doing. Otherwise, you have to fumble through the buttons. Why didn't they just use a column stalk since it's an electronic shifter? That could have freed up space for storage Touch screen functions are difficult to use because they're all packed together in a small row on top. You have to reach forward to choose a function. You have to have excellent peripheral vision, Otherwise, you have to take your eyes off the road to select a function. When the vehicle is moving and bouncing up and down, you wind up pressing the wrong function because a touchscreen lacks tactile feel. It needs more knobs and buttons.

Happier with this suv than my Honda Pilot

This vehicle is one of the best I’ve owned. Love the comfort, performance and quietness of the interior. The only thing that could make it better is Honda’s 10 speed transmission.

Nicest vehicle I have ever owned.

This suv has all the safety features Honda has. Smooth quiet ride and plenty of room makes this one comfortable vehicle. Very happy with our Passport. Lots of positive comments also.

Defective Infotainment System

The car's infotainment system froze the day after I bought the car. It's happened 3 times in the course of a month and Honda acknowledges there is an issue but does not have a fix. When frozen the reverse cameras, sensors, radio, navigation and phone connectivity don't work. Perhaps I expected too much in a $41k brand new car but I am very disappointed and regret my decision in going with Honda.

Not a bad start for a 3rd Gen. Passport

This Passport, for a single guy, meets my needs and then some with its spacious cabin and large cargo area. Initially, I thought it was done as a rather copy cat of the pilot, and I still think it is, but Honda managed to find a way to give this passport its own personality with a different back end, dual exhaust, and what I believe to be the best looking front end of the Honda SUV lineup. The inside is quiet when driving and as of yet almost a month into my ownership, I haven't heard any squeaks or rattles. My avg. fuel economy on a several hundred mile trip has been slightly better than where Honda pegs it at, 26mpg. (Mine is an AWD Touring) The infotainment screen is quick, although, I wish it were the same as the current generation Accord, with volume and search buttons and small buttons lining the 8" screen. The Accord, for me is the benchmark of what an infotainment system should be. While the front driver and passenger seats are comfortable, I do wish Honda had a main center arm rest as found on the 2nd generation Pilot, a solid piece shared between the passenger and driver rather than the smaller armrests. To Hondas credit, the armrests are adjustable. The touring has a 540 watt 10 speaker sound system that is a joy to listen to with many different configurations available for getting the most out of it. Other neat features on my touring are the power folding side mirrors and the lighted cup holders and door trim at night when the headlights are on. The AC feels strong and ice cold. LED high and low beams are a nice feature on dark roads. At the sticker price of $42225.00 Its not a bad value but be sure to work hard for the best deal you're able to make.

Best Honda Yet!

I love the Passport. I've owned a Crosstour, 2 CRV's and a Pilot. The Passport is so nice. Its bigger than my CRV but smaller than my Pilot. It is a very classy car. I bought the touring and it's like driving on a cloud. Great bells and whistles on this one. Nice job Honda.
