Affordable, reliable, and even attractive!

This is the second Hyundai I have purchased with a Ford Cmax in between. After my unpleasant Ford experience, I couldn't wait to get back into a Hyundai. I test drove a Mazda 3, a Nissan Ultima, and the Hyundai Elantra. They were all good. The Mazda drove the best, but was a bit small for me with a carseat in the back. I really liked the backup camera on the Altima. So I decided to save 10K and go for the SEL Elantra to get the backup camera, android play, and lane detection. Feel this car is definitely a good buy. Have only had it for one month, but so far so good. Lots of driving in snow and ice and it has done really well. A little noisier and lighter than the Ford Cmas hybrid I had, but I feel confident it won't be in the shop constantly like that car was. Did I mention it is MUCH more attractive than the Cmax?

First new car. Worth every penny.

Right off the bat I'm going to say I got the Value edition and I didn't pay a lot for this car so I wasn't expecting the world from it. I needed to go to and from work with confidence on the highway and that's what I got. Exterior is sufficient in the styling department. Nothing too crazy, nothing too boring. It is a pretty comfortable ride for a sub 20k car. You will feel every pothole you hit but that's a given seeing that it's a smaller car. Hitting 1k miles on it and it can go on the highway if you give it a little time. I mostly drive it in ECO mode once i get up to 50 in normal drive mode. Once I'm in the city I go into sport so I can zip around. I recommend not going inro sport on the highway or it'll hit 3rpm and kind drone out. Interior isn't fussy at all and equally represents the exterior. I like the infotainment center the most along with the heated seats. I wouldn't get the remote start unless you literally cannot live without it. Car warms up pretty quickly. just turn on the heated seats and give it a minute to kick in. The sound system is sufficient. Wouldn't say it's anything special. Value is huge. Sub 20k and I can't think of anything bad to say about it with that price. Super reliable so far. Not too worried about anything with that Hyundai warranty.

Comfortable, Efficient, Stylish

From the sleek modern body, to modern tech savvy interior, Hyandai has knocked it out of the park. Very quiet ride, roomy cargo space, back seat comfortable from for an adult, great info console on 7 inch screen with great features such as back up camera, heated seats, sunroof, XM radio, Android Auto and Apple Car Play, homelink garage door opener and different driving modes. Great fuel efficiency, rated at 38 mpg on the highway but I average about 41 on my 40 mile one way commute to work every day. Love how it handles and looks. Best car I've ever owned this far.

Quick and nimble

I really enjoy the Elantra Sport. It's an economy sports sedan. Great on gas and is quick, handles well, looks incredible, has very comfortable heated sport seats and with an outstanding warranty. A great commuter car during the week and a fun sport sedan on the weekend. The gas mileage is much better than advertised even with occasional spirited driving.
