I was a previous owner and came back!

I leased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson SE Plus and really love it, it has all the bells and whistles that I wanted and it was a great value. I owned a Tucson previously and had to come back again.

Very reliable car

The Hyundai Tucson Limited is the third Hyundai I have owned since 2006. It meets all of my expectations and more.

Sharp looking. Good value. Finicky initial quality

UPDATE: 01/08/2018 We've now had the Tucson for more than a year and it has been really great! No other issues came up and we actually went and purchased a second Tucson Limited w/ Ultimate Package for my father-in-law right before the new year. He loves his new Tucson and has been taking it out on trips in various weather conditions. ----------------------------------- UPDATE: 02/01/2017 Now that winter is here and we've had a few snow showers, the AWD system on our Tucson Limited is actually very impressive! No slipping at the tires and turns in snowy conditions provides a lot of confidence. No electrical issues since the warranty repair as mentioned below. ----------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: We purchased a brand new 2017 Tucson Limited w/ Ultimate Package less than 3 weeks ago. The decision to go with a 2017 model versus the leftover 2016 model was due to the recall on transmission issues found on the 2016 model that many owners, unfortunately, had to suffer. The 2017 model looks identical to the previous year's both inside and out. Same 1.6T engine and (hopefully) a re-calibrated transmission. The main reason for 4-star because since Day 1 the dashboard has been displaying warning lights for AEB, ABS, downhill descent control, blind spot warning, and lane departure warning. This symptom would persist throughout the duration of the drive and could only be cleared by restarting the vehicle. When these warning lights appear, the vehicle has no idle speed. In fact, if you are stopped on a very slight incline, our Tucson would actually roll backward when you take your foot off the brake. We took it to a Hyundai store closer to us the following weekend, 7 days after initial purchase, to have diagnostics performed. As it turned out, our brand new Tucson already has a failed SRS control module. The good news is this is covered under warranty and the dealer ordered the parts and our vehicle was repaired this past Saturday. So 3 weeks into ownership, we've had to have repairs done and left the vehicle at the dealership for 2 full days. The pros of the Tucson Limited are numerous: - Good night time visibility with optional HID headlights with bending light technology (ie. the headlight turns with the steering wheel so you can see around the turn a little better) - Heated & Cooled front seats - EXCELLENT infotainment system. Navigation graphics and guidance are amazingly intuitive. JD Powers ranked Tucson's infotainment system First Place with BMW. - Quick acceleration after the initial turbo lag. - Sharp exterior stance. Especially in White. - Huge panoramic moonroof. - Infinity sounds system. Although you will need to turn up the bass a little to feel the difference. - 10-year/100,000-mile POWERTRAIN warranty. - Cool LED daytime driving lights and very bright LED interior lights (except for the cargo lights). If you are going to get aftermarket LED cargo lights, make you buy the 30mm size. - Surprisingly comfortable seats! They not only are bolstered correctly on the back, the support for thighs and butt are good, too. A few cons: - Turbo lag. This sometimes drives me nuts. Backing out of the driveway can be uncertain as you have to apply more gas than normal to get the vehicle going. And if you press the gas pedal too hard you might fly out. - No power folding side mirrors. WHY? Kia Sportage has those, even. - In my opinion, the black plastic trim pieces on the lower portion of the vehicle and around the tire wells are distasteful. not to mention they will probably fade over time. - No memory seat settings. If my wife ever decides to drive it, she will need to manually change the seat position and then I will have to change it back, of course not finding that perfect position ever again. Overall, extremely good value because you do get a lot of car for your money. We are just a bit disappointed with the initial quality. If you are going to buy one, make sure to have the dealer run a computer diagnostics test before leaving the showroom.

Love this car!

At last I have a car with a great Nav system that is easy to use and that I can see even when the sun shines brightly. The ride is very comfortable for all the family and there is a load of storage in the back. It is a very easy car to drive since all the various controls are within easy reach and sight. I really like the light colored leather interior. It certainly is more comfortable in hot weather than the black. I am enjoying the remote start and all the other convenience features. I am very happy with my new Tucson!

Love this crossover

It ride is very solid, has a lot of extra for the money. I have had two other Hyundia cars and like them so I figure I test drive the Tucson and loved it. I live in an area were we get a LOT of snow. After I purchased this we received about 6 feet in three day and overall of 7 plus feet so far for the season,(unusually high amount this year) so glad I did. Even without locking it into 4wd, it still cut through the snow with easy.

Best Decision I Have Ever Made!!

Wasn't sure if I could actually afford this vehicle, even as a hard-working hospital employee with OKish credit, but Balise Hyundai of West Springfield worked with me to make a dream come true. Coming from a small front wheel drive vehicle which was the 3rd such type of vehicle I've endured harsh New England winters in and also the 3rd such car I've been in a scary accident in, I already feel safer, more comfortable, and more confident in my commute to the hospital in the city I live near. Highly recommend to anyone who isn't sure if a compact SUV is right for them!!

So far So Good

I've driven the new Hyundai Tucson for about a month. Gas economy is good (about 22 mpg in the city). The dash layout is good, and the functions are easy to program. I find the chassis to feel quite stable. The pickup is good. There's no timing belt on this automobile. This fact can save the owner $2000.00 over the life of the car because there is nothing to change with a timing change. The air conditioning is quite robust. I appreciate the blutooth functions for my phone. I can drive and talk hands free. I like the USB input. I have long legs, and I find the leg room to be quite nice. Head room is more than adequate. There's a real spare tire, not a crummy foam whats-it to cover the tire mount in the event of an unlikely flat. This is my third Hyundai, so I expect little more upkeep than the manufacturer's recommended oil changes, radiator flush, etc.. If this Hyundai is anything like my two Santa Fe's, I expect no unpleasant surprises. I got a good deal on an already relatively inexpensive car, but it feels anything but cheap. The seats are comfortable, and the interior gives the impression of a more upscale automobile.

It handles like a sport car.

It is economical as gas is concerned but with a good power to respond to the traffic needs. I have received many compliments from people in the parking lots that I have been on the loo ks and features of the car. I am completely satisfied with the purchase of his vehicle, no regrets.

New car, only 36 days

Really nice car for the price. I love the backup camera. I?ve never owned a SUV & the acceleration is noticeably slower but I guess that?s to be expected since it?s a much larger vehicle than I?m used to. I wish there was more or different set up for the middle console space. I had more in my Sonata. Still new but overall very pleased.
