Great car

I just bought this car. It is super quiet and comfortable. Performance its actually very good for such heavy car. All wheel drive is great so far, we will see how good it is once winter comes. Bose system is very nice, sounds loud and clear. Breaking its very good too. Overall this car is fun to drive and super luxurious. I love it and im only 23 years old. Test drive one of these and you will know what im talking about. The only thing im missing in mine in Navigation =( well you cant have everything you want sometimes.

highest performance car I've owned

The car is a hot one. It is possible to burn rubber when you simply goose it a bit. Accident avoidance is great. Throaty rumble comes from tuned exhaust and trannie shifts smoother than any I've ever experienced. Instrumentation, after four years, is still mildly confusing to me--too many buttons in a small area. Gas mileage is about 20 in town and 24 on the highway. Brakes are in need of repair too often and are expensive!

My Second Favorite Car, Ever

I've had my 2005 G Coupe for a couple of years now, and I'm always patting myself on the back for buying it. After my daughter had her baby I realized that I needed a car with a backseat,so I looked around for a good alternative to my 350Z and I found its brother in the Infiniti. The G Coupe has the same sportscar dynamics as the 350Z and, frankly, looks much better than the Z when exercising those dynamics. It handles and gets up to speed as quickly as the Z AND has a glovebox and a comfortable cabin. It is a beautiful design, one of the nicest of the Japanese coupes and it has plenty of room indoors for things like large brothers, baby seats and overstuffed backpacks. I've been on several Florida-to-New York Road Trips in the G, and they are drives that were well worth taking. The car is easy to live with for those long, 800-mile days and it gives back surprising mileage on long stretches of interstate if you don't get too vigorous-- but it's way more fun to bring out the sportscar personality, burn up half a tank and drive it through mountains. I bought it with 35,000 on it and now it shows nearly 60,000. Except for a power window that went south, I have had zero problems. I just put a brand new set of Coopers on it and the handling has improved noticeably. An excellent effort, Nissan. Still, the G will always have to be a close #2, not quite as great as the Z.

Nice Ride

I've had my 2005 G35x for about 6 months now. Best car I've ever owned, rides nice, all the looks, plus the reliability can't be beat. I almost bought the 2005 BMWxi before I looked at this. The BMW had a little nicer handling over rough surfaces, but the power was incomparable. The G has way more power, a lot roomier interior, and a bigger trunk. More interior features. The navigation system is another nice feature. Available to tuck away in the dash when not in use, sweet!. BMW was very cramped and felt like a front wheel drive car, same with the Audi A4 I drove. The Audi felt like a 4cylinder. Another great thing about this car is that it handled like a true sports sedan, rear-wheel based and is a full 0:100 torque split when going above 12mph, AWD starts out 25:75 from 0-12mph. Also has a snow mode you can lock in 50:50. This thing handles really nice in the snow, never got stuck and passed up many 4x4's living in MN.

Best car for the price

Not at expensive as the comps (Lexus, Mercedes, Acura, BMW, etc.), but drives better and has a larger engine and higher speed. Great car!

What a combo!

I just traded out of a '02 Maxima and into a '05 G35 sedan with premium package. Like some others, I have had a "sports-car" itch since learning to drive but with a family now such a vehicle, even in coupe form, is somewhat impractical. The answer was a sports sedan. And the G35 hit the proverbial sweet spot! This thing corners, accelerates, and sounds just like a sports car. But it is practical, comfortable and gorgeous inside and out (the '05 exterior redo makes a difference and the premium package with wood trim adds beauty and class to the interior). This car can cradle my wife and I on date-nights like a luxo-cruiser and yet is capable of embarrassing the local import-tuner wannabes. What more could you ask? The only gripe I have thus far is the sometimes strange noises from the engine bay (another noted this) and the exhaust can be a bit boomy at times. Other than that, if you are looking for a fast, sleek, comfortable, sporty 4-door with reliablity and value, the G35 rocks.

The best used car I owned.

You see I have owned many cars so far. So I bought a 350z then got in a mood to get a G35 they performed close. But I guess new and used are different. What I found in the car was more comfortable then the 350z on long trips, cause well I bought both cars in Everett. Both 350 and g35. But in the end they were the same.

Great car !

Overall a great car; you get a lot for your money; I bought it used with 30k+ miles and I'm very happy with the quality and performance of the car; with 280 horses and 270 torque is very strong but is also civilized, the only complain (which many other G35 had expressed) is that from time to time you can hear some extrange sounds from the engine compartment. This is really a true 3 series rival (I can say it as I owed a 2002 325i and I also owed a 2001 Audi A6 2.7 bi-turbo).
