best handling

This car got the best handling compare to Lexus, BMW or MB. But the gas milage is not great. The really bad thing about this car is the road noise. The standard radio doesn't fit for this kind of luxury sedan.

It's a Beaut

I just bought an '07 M35X and traded in my S class. It is a fantastic ride and very fun to drive. The S was nice but lumbered around. This car is quick and responds to your input. There are a couple of negatives: The road noise is significant. The Bose sound system is simply average. I don't know how Bose gets installed in high end vehicles.

Best car I've ever driven

Love the car. The only problems I have with the car is that only one rear view mirror tilts when the car is in reverse. The low profile tires, which aren't great, are a pain especially living in the city. The car handles great and sounds great. Interior is very roomy and comfortable.

fun and reliable

I've had my M35X for a year now and still enjoy getting behind the wheel. Great in town and have taken a long trip, too. Gas mileage is about 20 on the hwy and 18 in town. Rear camera has become such a habit, I don't like to drive anything else.

M35X, transmission issue between 2nd and 3rd

Issues #1: Annoying transmission at 36-38MPH desired driving speed. Dealer says it's an "unfortunate spec" in the 2006 and 2007 M35. Dealer Service Tech advises to try moving autostick to temporary lock into 2nd gear when this happens at the 36-38MPH range and that is the desired speed. 'doesn't work, still pulses in and out like a tugboat. This is very annoying. Issue#2: High revving car. 10 miles of trip to work is 70MPH. Flowing with traffice at 76MPH, the tachometer is at 3100RPM's. It's noisy and as if it's working way too hard. Of course the very POOR gas mileage goes along with this, even at long distance highway trips. Issue#3: Received a "file number" for several issues from Nissan of CA HQ office for consumer issues. Issue #4: The car can have a very foul odor from the ventilation system for the 1st 1-2 minutes of startup AFTER the car has sat for 48 hours. Dealer cleaned A/C evaporator and recommends I turn off the ventilation 1 full minute each time I'm about to turn off the engine. Not acceptable for any NEW CAR and very hard to hear on a car with a sticker of $52K. #5) Technology 2 or Advanced Tech package is a waste of money for the irritating CRUISE control that brakes freguently even with 6 car lengths ahead. It's laser camera picks up stuff and deactivates/brakes the car/lowers the revs. There's NO WAY to turn this off per dealer. At least the "lane departure warning" system can be turned off by holding the button for 15+ seconds.

Best Midsize Luxury Sedan on Market!!!!

This car is the best. I've owned mine for 6 months and LOVE it. I drove the Lexus 450 and 350 AWD and BMW 528 and 530 xi and grew up driving BMI and Lexus over the years. This car is better than both and it has the power to set it apart. Bigger engine than the other 6ers in its class. It is very unassuming, but there when you need it. Hit that pedal and off like a rocket. It is great that everything can be controlled from the steering wheel. This feature is terrific in bad weather when you don't want to take your eyes off the road. The feel of the steering wheel controls is intuitive and the voice response system is pretty good. Also, I've read complaints about the noise of the engine while driving. This is not the flaw of the car but the sound of a Tiger ready to roar at any second. It purrs like a kitten until you are ready to take on the forest and then, watch out! It is a comfortable aggressive ride and quiet despite it's growl. There are a few minor drawbacks with this car. First, they should have doors that lock automatically when you put the car in Drive. Second, they should have a mute button for the radio. The FX has this and so should the M. Lastly and my biggest beef is the tires. What is with the Eagle RSA tires. They are TERRIBLE tires. They have no grip or traction in wet and snow. If you are in the Northeast like I am, you need that grip for the winters and Noreasters that come through. My suggestion is to switch these out for Bridgestone 960AS Pole Positions that are a premium tire. They are a little expensive, but definitely worth the cost. This AWD should not be without great tires. This is the best car for the money and far superior to other cars in its class. I highly recommend this car and will buy another one in 3 years when I get tired of driving this one. Do yourself the favor of getting this superior sedan!

Best value for the premium buck!

I traded in a MB E430 which was a superb car. Test drove the new E class, Lexus GS and Acura RL. The Infiniti was, hands down, the winner. The most gadgets, performance and styling. Also, the best value for all the features. Highly recommend this vehicle.

Best Car I've Ever Owned

Looked at GS300, and 530, both more expensive and not as good. Only down side is exterior styling, mainly from rear, but this is something that could be improved but not offensive. Been totally reliable and got advertised gas mileage. Why buy a Lexus which is nicely styled but sterile driving or a BMW which is overpriced and poor quality?

Good value

This car is a great car for the money. As good as Lexus and much less money! It rides better than the older M45 and is easy to drive. Infiniti stands by their product and the service is the best I have seen. The M35 does not have to have premium gas, which is a plus in these days of high gas prices. This is my fourth Infiniti and is one of my favorites.

Not Good

Broke down three times in two days. Really not reliable, could not make it over 40 miles per hour on the freeway. I can't post a 0 to 60 because it never made it that high. You have to start breaking at least 10 seconds earlier than usual. I would not recommend this vehicle.
