Too much for the look
It is a small vehicle and too expensive for the features. Smooth drive but the bumper went in as soon as it was pushed down. Cloth seats make it look cheap. I feel with the price you are paying for brand not quality.

Shockingly comfort ride
When my old Jeep Patriot became too much of a burden, my wife and I decided to get a second car to replace IT and complement our BMW 428i. We were leaning toward a BMW X1 but when my wife recommended we check out Infiniti, I jumped on the occasion and fell in love with this model the moment I saw it. The drive is definitely different from the 428i in that it is smoother and less agile, but I've come to appreciate it immensely. It's not too roomy in the back, but the front can be set up to be fairly comfortable even for my 6'3" frame. Add to that the excellent Bose speaker system, a very intuitive GUI, a splendid parking break and the coolest clutch I've ever used and it's hard not to love this car. The seats and the steering wheel are also both gorgeous and the vehicle, from the outside, looks as rugged as its owner does. I'd appreciate an automatic rear door for the groceries, but I have to admit that I would rather not have unnecessary electronic parts if I don't really need them. Fuel consumption is also respectable and I can get a good 330km to 350km from a tank on my mostly city driving. Highway driving is obviously a lot more economical.

Perfect vehicle for retired wife
My wife wanted something comfortable and good gas milage. The QX30 offers both and is also a bit more engaging than other INFINITI vehicles because it shares many parts with the MB GLA250. There is great room for two. Plus ample storage for weekend trips. The FWD model gets over 30 mpg and it has all the options you could ever need. I also like the fact the look is not common around town as is the case for ubiquitous cars and SUVs.

Potential Danger
My biggest problems with the car are in order of severity: 1.) The car door must be manually unlocked and will not (and apparently can not) open merely by pulling the leaver as with every other car ever made. This is potentially a huge SAFETY ISSUE; being as most people are used to the door leaver opening a door you can imagine that in an accident or other emergency the driver may forget they have to manually unlock the door to open the door, potentially resulting in lose of life. Infiniti's response to these concerns was 'Nothing has happened yet so it's not worth the cost of recall' (one good lawsuit and it could have been a good preventative action). (2.) The climate controls are not visible except if you look down averting your gaze from the road; thus if you don't set your climate just right before driving off you either have to risk looking away from the road or pull over to modify your cabin climate. (3.) The dash display controls are annoying: to change your music you have to switch out of the digital trip, speed limit mode and then it will only allow you to change the song not the volume from the steering console. You have to reach over to the sound unit knob to adjust your volume. (4.) Glove compartment is so small that the most you can in fact fit is a pair of gloves, sunglasses and maybe a pocket size tissue packet. (5.) Though it looks like the rear should be spacious it's not: rear passengers have little leg room and if you have three in back they have to become very familiar with one another to successfully buckle up.

Great car for the city
I wanted a zippy car with a hint of luxury. I went in for the base QX30, good entry level car. Loved it in the city. Great looking. car from inside and out, and performance is great for a car that size.

Interior Design Flaws
While my 2017 QX30 is a sweet looking ride, drives and handles great (and why shouldn't it, with only 2000 miles on it?), there are serious design flaws in the interior. The #1 complaint I have is that the door lock... and then don't UNlock unless the unlock button is physically pressed. I'm pretty sure this is a MAJOR safety hazard and may not even be able to be inspected in my State. I hate the ignition, the key is hard to remove; the fan button is far too small and hard to reach around the shifter; what I thought was a panoramic sunroof, is only a "glass roof" with a sunshade that doesn't actually open; the lift-gate doesn't open automatically; and for a "premium" version, I didn't get navigation or any blind-spot warnings. The radio is cool; which is good, since you can access that 3 different ways from the drivers seat (maybe a little overkill?). All in all, I just made my 2nd lease payment and I'm glad I didn't buy it outright. Maybe after this first year, they will figure these nuisances out.

My favorite car from Infiniti to date
Love it. Not crazy about rain sensing wipers when it just mists. Love the ride and the styling. Previous review I saw said interior cabin could be quieter but I find that hard to believe!
