Great luxury SUV

This is a great large SUV. I needed a car that could tow a boat and haul kids. This vehicle fits the bill for both of these needs and is a joy to drive.

its good if you have three kids

Yes I wood recommend this car to some one with three kids. How ever it is hard to get in to parking spots. The gas milleg is not so good. A prius is good if you with gas milleg and not if you have three kids. This thing is good for having three kids but not with the gas.

Best large SUV PERIOD....

We have owned many full size SUV's in the past 15 years, Navigator, Lexus, Infiniti and the 2011 Infinity QX56 is by far the best we have purchased. Whether it's luxury, tech toys, ride, comfort, convenience, saftey or towing, this SUV is at the head of the class in almost all respects. My wife and I each had 2008 QX56's...I got the new 2011 first (Tech pkg. Blk on Blk 4WD), talk about jealousy and rightly so. Best improvements from old to new QX....A/C, noise, ride, shifting, fit & finish, seats, legroom, headroom, styling, horsepower and fuel economy. Voice commands and NAVI are the best I've used, quite intuitive. It's like stepping into the cabin of a private jet....awesome!

Great Vehicle if you want a full size SUV

Exterior styling is polarizing but interior, by almost all accounts, is one of the best in the segment. Rides beautifully with impressive acceleration. Highway gas mileage is 20 mpg observed at around 70-72 mph. Unique, which is nice if you don't like passing your car every 2 minutes. IMO, far better option than the Escalade, Benz or Lexus.

Best bang for the buck in the luxury class of SUVs

We almost purchased a 2010 last year and I am so glad we waited for the new model before doing so. First off, this truck handles like a car. Secondly, you feel like you're in some futuristic space shuttle, everything is decked out, the entertainment system is unbelievable, and makes you (and your kids) feel like they're in a movie theater. Third, the gas mileage is not bad on the highway if you don't drive like a knucklehead, despite reports to the contrary. I'm averaging close to 20mpg - but then again, you don't buy this vehicle if you're scrounging pennies. Finally, my friends and family love taking trips in this truck. Everything is first rate, from the design to the drivability. I also love watching people turn their heads when I drive by. IMO, Infiniti manufactured a masterpiece with the 2011 model. And now we want another!

Best SUV Yet

The new QX56 is a fantastic full size SUV. I previously owned a 2006 QX that was extremely reliable, comfortable and a great performer. The 2011 is even more luxurious and powerful. The navigation system and bluetooth phone system are easy to use especially with voice command. I love the stereo feature that alerts me when one of my favorite songs is playing. It is also reasonably priced in comparison to its direct competitors such as the Escalade and Lexus LX470. I typically average 18 MPG. While not great, it is only 1 MPG less than the much smaller and less powerful Mercedes ML350 that I also used to own. Couple the vehicle with the normally outstanding service provided at my Infiniti dealer and the ownership experience can't be beat.

Best SUV I owned

This SUV has much more for the dollar and performs and rides so much better than the Escalade or Mercedes Benz GX line. Equipment and ease of use is outstanding as well as the ability of such a large vehicle to hold the road in quick, tight turns. Infinity Support is phenomenal and was outstanding in their phone call to me one day after I complained about software issues with the Bluetooth system. Love the truck!!

Best Value Proposition in this Class

This vehicle is exceptional in its class, and comes with a significantly lower price tag than its main competitors. A key consideration for us was towing capacity, knocking some pretty terrific vehicles by other manufacturers out of the running. With 8,500 lbs. of towing capacity, this vehicle is ideal for hauling a wakeboat and all the family and gear. Some of the few alternatives in this class don't offer anywhere near the same value as the new Infiniti. The diesel variants have mediocre acceleration numbers, and the standard engines come with a significant price tag. So, on balance, for our needs, this vehicle makes loads of sense at the right price.
