2000 Jaguar XK8 consumer reviews

I just bought this Coupe with 60,000 miles on the clock. The vehicle had been in a minor accident, but is still in decent condition. He runs like a stallion! I plan on changing out the transmission filter/fluid to keep the transmission shifting smoothly. (I am currently replacing the valve chains/tensioners on April 2nd, 2024). I'll keep working on the interior and plan on replacing the old headlamps with LED units. I also plan on removing (and selling) the rear seats, replacing them with slide bars for extra luggage room. This really is a two-seat, Grand Touring automobile, not a Sports Coupe. Since I have no family (and never will) the XK8 will allow me to travel at 1000+ mile stretches in comfort. The style is impeccable and the engine's smooth performance is pulse-quickening. Since I live in Northwestern Oregon, the convertible wasn't a practical option, so I sought out a Coupe. (I'm happy that I did). Put your money into restoring one of these Grand Touring machines. You'll gain more attention than the Corvette, Mercedes, Audi, Nissan and Porsche owners and you'll enjoy the ride. Come on. You know that you really want one, or you wouldn't be reading this.

I think the design of the car is wonder i love my convertible jag I put nichie custom wheels and tires in it the car looks good its expensive to work on but I love the car

It’s a beautiful car it’s very comfortable two ride in it does have some issues I have a lot of trouble with the convertible going up

This vehicle is in better condition than expected. If you read reviews on the jaguar cars you’ll understand my concern. The car requires “tlc” is all. Thank you selective motor cars for your help.

THESE CARS HAVE NO NO N O ROOM IN THE BACK SEAT MAYBE A S M A L L 5 yr OLD WOULD FIT THAE 2000 HAS A 4.O ENGINE IN 2003 THEY WENT TO 4.2 & TODAY STILL A 4.2

Love it... Purchased it Nov. 2015 at 73,000miles... Clean Carfax.. w/rebuilt transmission. Car is 'good to go' anytime. Have done routine maintenance items (spark plugs, seals, boots on steering tie rods... changed brake fluid. Formerly an Austin Healey 3000 driver, love this car! Sound system is outstanding/yes, cassette tape player in dash, Disc in trunk--ok. STILL worth its original price and I got it for 1/8 that. No rattles/ tight convert.body. Amazing. as a pilot/know that one must KEEP UP the maintenance...and it will fly/run forever. HNB

Very nice dependable care! Very very smooth! Only bad thing is repairs are very costly(Plaza Jaguar in St. Louis) and I wish for the Coupe Models you had the option to get a moonroof. Other than that the Coupe are extremely rare! The car gets a tons of attention! Overall I very attractive vehicle for the money!

This particular Jag looks terrible with the gold/black paint job! ...what were they thinking by taking a beautiful car & making it look junky

Great car. If you ever own a jag XK8 you got to drive it some and take care of it. An the number one thing. Always no matter buy orginal jag parts. I learned the hard way.
