So far so good

Coming out of the Wrangler life after 3 of them and into a Cherokee. So many bells and whistles compared to a spartan Wrangler JKU. Very much enjoying the Cherokee’s ride, handling and amenities. I miss the “go anywhere” feeling of a lifted JKU with M/T tires, but I am enjoying heated seats, and double the gas mileage while still having 4wd.

I like the vehicle.

This vehicle does not have enough head room and it is too compact for my liking. Other than that the car has held up well so far. I would only recommend if I think it is suitable for the person.

Traded my JK for it.

I've owned or driven just about every Jeep model made, including the legendary JKU (4 door)and JK. I considered myself a dedicated wrangler owner. Until, as I got older, I tired of the using the excuse "it's a Jeep thing." in relation to leaks, noisy cabin, harsh ride, and strange maintenance problems like wheel speed sensors. I finally, after replacing the second wheel speed sensor (which when it goes will negate your ABS, cruise control and on an auto, your four wheel drive) in a wrangler, decided I had enough. A local dealer offered me a ridiculous trade in price on my 5 year old JK and I drove away in a beautiful blue 2019 Cherokee with the V6, tow package and cold weather package. And I haven't looked back. The ride is quiet, comfortable and civilized. (In comparison to a Wrangler) And with proper winter tires the Cherokee is actually better on snow covered roads. And....bonus....with the V6 the thing will MOVE! Sure the auto trans has a view problems like an unwillingness to downshift....it takes a firm push on the gas pedal...but all in all, I LOVE it!

I wouldn't get another one

I have had numerous issues with this vehicle. It stalled out on me on the interstate - which switching off the ignition and switching it back on helped. A couple weeks later, when starting the vehicle - all of my gear shifter lights were on and my display read "Service Shifter." I had to look up recalls on my own, which showed there were 6. I had not been notified of any recalls on my vehicle, all of which were integral to the operation of the Jeep. I took it in for recall work, which I thought was complete, only to be called back for another part (service department's fault, not Jeep's). Now, my check engine light has come on and my engine stalled out in less than 100 yards and it had to be towed to the dealership. I purchased my 2018 Jeep Cherokee new (14 miles on the odometer) in March 2018. It had under 25,000 miles on it. It is way too new of a vehicle to already have so many issues.

Do not buy a 2018 or 2019 Jeep!

Jeep is knowingly selling vehicles with a "propensity" for faulty software (UConnect) that they have no fix for. Jeep does not disclose this issue at the sale of the car or through it's service departments. My brand new 2018 jeep has been in for services 5 times over 2 months before i finally called Jeep corporate and was told the issue can not be fixed and they have no time frame for a solution.

Jeep Cherokee 2WD V6

After 1 day we both love the car. A little smaller than our Dodge Journey. Shorter wheelbase and stiffer suspension equates to a little harsher ride, but it still feels very solid. The bucket seats make the ride pretty good. No spare tire, really, it comes with a air compressor instead. I will be buying a can of Spare in a can to carry in case...
