I HAVE OWNED MY JEEP FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND 3 OTHERS BEFORE THAT, WITH CONFIDENCE I CAN TESTIFY TO THE VALUE OF THIS VEHICLE. I BOUGHT MINE WITH 100,000 MILES ON THE INLINE 6 ENGINE AND SINCE I HAVE LIFTED THE SUSPENSION 4 INCHES, MOUNTED 33X12.50 TIRES AND INSTALLED 4.11 GEARS IN THE DIFFERENTIAL , I NOW HAVE 150,000 MILES ON IT WITH A GOOD NUMBER OF THOSE OFF ROAD OR OFF TRAIL. MY FUEL USAGE WAS SLIGHTLY AFFECTED WITH 15-16 MPG HIGHWAY. THESE JEEPS A THE PERFECT CAR TO CUSTOMIZE AND IF YOU ARE LIKE ME WHO GETS BORED WITH YOUR RIDE QUICKLY THE JEEP IS PERFECT BECAUSE SIMPLY TAKE OF THE TOP AND DOORS TO DISCOVER YOU HAVE A NEW DRIVING EXPERIENCE AWAITING YOU. ALSO THE JEEP IS RELIABLE DUE TO THE FACT JEEP HAS USED THE SAME I-6 ENGINE SINCE 1987, IT IS IN THE CHEROKEE (ANOTHER DEPENDABLE TRUCK) THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION AX-15 IS PROVEN THROUGH AND THROUGH, ALSO STANDARD ON THE DODGE DAYTONA. IF YOU FIND A TJ FOR SALE YOU WILL DISCOVER JEEPS KEEP THEIR VALUE AND THEY HAVE A CULTURE OF PEOPLE THAT SHARE IN THE UNIQUE "IT'S A JEEP THING" MENTALITY. OWN ONE AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND.

I bought a 1999 wrangler 4 cylinder 5 speed a month ago and i hate it. It only gets 15 mpg and can barley make it up a hill, i sometimes get the fear it will not make it. other than that it is great but i can not get over the gas milage and lack of power good for off roading besides that don't be cheap like me and get the 6 cylinder!

Jeep Wranglers have been built solid for off road and on for decades. This has been a very reliable vehicle for me, and I would recommend owning a Jeep Wrangler to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, or just enjoys being able to put the top down and go for a ride.
