Lots of fun! Not just a car, something to do!

Jeep is a fun and great looking vehicle but driving everyday can be cumbersome if your not used to a smaller vehicle. Be ready to become friends because everyone driving a Jeep will soon be! The legroom is tight if your taller but the top coming off makes it worthwhile. Gas mileage isn't the reason to buy a Jeep. My 4cylinder gets about the same as my 5.3 Chevy truck did. If your wanting a car to hold its resale value this is it. Jeep Wrangler has the highest retail value of any other vehicle in the United States.

Very Bad Experience

This was the first car I owned. There wasn't enough room for more than two people. The biggest part of why I didn't like the jeep is when my jeep started using oil. Ever since I first owned it, I got the oil changed every 3000 miles. My jeep was never taken off road and never been in an accident. It was getting close to an oil change again, when I checked it, it shown no oil on the dip stick. I was very shocked, seeing as two weeks ago when I checked the oil it was completely full. So I ended up putting 5 1/2 quarts in (the jeep holds 6). I immediately got it into my car guy I use and trust. He checked for leaks, there was no leaks visible under the car or on the motor. After he completed his work he told me I needed to drop a new engine in it. We started doing some research and found out that there are many other people experiencing the same problem. When contacting Chrysler about the problem, they said it wasn't recalled, they wouldn't do anything to help with the problem, and the only thing they could recommend would be to put 10w-30 oil in it. Now most cars use 5w-20 oil. That is what it says in the hand book of the jeep to use so that was what i used all this time. I did some more research on why they recommend using the 10w-30 oil. Another thing is why Chrysler recommends putting this oil in the jeep but puts in 5w-20 oil instead. My answer was because 10w-30 is thicker, therefore your oil wont be used as quickly, but in order for Chrysler to meet the standard for the jeep they put in 5w-20 allowing them to claim the jeeps have better gas mileage and etc. Now, with all this knowledge you find out that since you have been using a thinner oil than technically should be put in your jeep it is hard on the engine, and guess what Chrysler can blame it on the consumers because its the oil that you/your car person has put into the jeep. Making them not liable for anything. Now that means that I have to replace the engine. I wouldn't recommend getting a used engine if your in this same situation. Because, if you get a used engine you might end up with the same problem. Therefore, I would have to get a new engine. The new engine was about 3175.00 not including the two kits you have to buy in order for it all to work properly, and not including the labor that is involved in order to take the old engine out and install the new one. My car person said it would be around 6000.00 to 9000.00 in order for it to be repaired. So I thought about getting it repaired. It was a lot of money to sink into a jeep that was 7 years old, had 72000.00 miles, and had this huge problem. Also there wasn't a guarantee how long the jeep would last. In the end, I decided it would be better to trade the jeep in and purchase a new car instead of wasting the money on the jeep with no guarantees. I hope this helps anyone who reads it. I won't ever own another jeep nor any other Chrysler product again.

My very first car

My dad show me how to drive in a TJ model and now that I had to pick a car, I think the best way to go is with the car where you learn how to drive! I simply love my new JK!

My 2nd Home

I LOVE JEEP WRANGLER'S! I've always wanted a Jeep Wrangler since a kid and i've finally got one and I fell in love with jeep wranglers even more! The exterior of my car is Black with silver rims. The interior is black leather seats with black floor mats. I have a hardtop but when I want to feel the summer breeze through my hair i just take the hardtop off lol! My Jeep is my 2nd home and i will never stop loving it!

Can't go wrong with a Jeep

I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport and I love everything about it - except for the fact that it does not come stock with A/C and I did not realize it until after I purchased it and drove around for a few days. It has working vents and fans and has a heater, however no air conditioner. This isn't too much of a problem as I live in beautiful San Diego, but its still a nuisance and I wish the salesman let me know before I bought it during the test drive. Just make sure you know what you are getting and double check the features that come on your Jeep, even if you think its something that should come stock on any car.

Great for the outdoorsman!

Really loving my new (bought used but new to me) Jeep Wrangler. The thing handles great on a trail or on the highway! The steering is sensitive enough to give you twitch maneuvering off road but smooth enough to manage rush hour traffic. Mine is a two door variant, but the storage space is still great with the fold up back seat! Bought mine without a towing package, but only ~$200 dollars later I have the hitch installed and the wiring harness. The Chrome accents don't hold up well over time, but still look good. Other than that, don't buy a jeep as a comuter car unless you understand the price of gas. It drinks, but I get more value to the mile than in a more economical option!

NOT A JEEP FAN ANYMORE!!!

ORIGINALLY LOVED JEEPS EVERYTHING ABOUT IVE HAD 3 ALTHOUGH MY LAST ONE HAS CAUSED NOTHING BUT ISSUES. i WOULD ONLY RECOMMEND THIS CAR IF YOU HAVE LOTS OF SPARE MONEY TO SPEND ON THEM. FUEL IS REDICULOUS AND ANYTHING YOU NEED FOR THEM OF COURSE BEING AMERICAN IS DOUBLE THE PRICE HERE. DONT GET ME WRONG THEY ARE A GREAT LOOKING VEHICLE BUT WOULD NOT RECCOMEND FOR A FIRST CAR BUYER, SOMEONE WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT CARS OR SOMEONE ON A LIMITED BUDGET.

dont buy a jeep

I have owned several jeeps. I wanted tk find a good one. An never did. I bought 2 nrw ones. All were clunkers. Yes the preform well offroad. But getting there maybe another story. There just not made for the road and they are not built to last. I had every problem there is with these things. From leaking cabs to fuel pumps burning out ever 3k miles. There a over sized cheap 4wheeler. Bout it. If you need a suv for something other then mudding on a friday nite dont buy a jeep. Unless you have plenty of tools money and time.
