The best featured vehicle for me

I USE MY TRUCK FOR SLEEPING, OFF ROADING, DRIVING FAMILY (7 SEAT VERSION) AND TOWING A HORSE and general commuter to the horse farm where I board. I love my truck. I would buy another in a heartbeat, if they offered the same truck.. Sadly, not. This is the best model and year fro this version and I will keep it forever.

Damaged Vehicle and Sketchy Dealership

Not sure if I am writing a generic review for a 2011 Rover LR4 or for this specific vehicle we test-drove. We already own a 2013 LR4 and it is an amazing vehicle, hence our seeking another. Regarding the specific 2011 we drove: It is essentially the same as any other LR4 in design. The interior was in fair condition. The truck drove well and had a good ride. Inspection underneath indicated extensive corrosion and water exposure of all surfaces up to and including the floorboards. There did not appear to be any water intrusion actually into the passenger compartment. We noted a very fine light brown power/talc in all locations on the underside of the vehicle that is not consistent with our geographic location. Rover suspension can be raised and lowered via air shocks and the process is supposed to be smooth and silky. I lowered and then re-raised the suspension and the process was jerky, indicating that there was grit/talc in the air shocks. The driver door did not close properly which gave us some concern regarding frame integrity. Upon closer inspection we noted that: The 3 towing hooks at the rear center attachment point were all broken off. The two towing attach holes in the frame, one on either side, at the rear of the truck were damaged, i.e. bent as through extreme pressure and showed signs of rust due to the metal being bent. This type of damage is consistent with involvement with poor towing procedures. If it was being towed , it's not good. If it was the towing vehicle towing someone else then there is the additional concern of drive train damage. The dealership stated that the vehicle had passed safety inspections and that they considered it safe. We offered an auction price of $8,500, which they declined stating that they were confident they could sell it at asking price of $14,000 to a less well informed and less "picky" customer. I would not recommend this vehicle and would not recommend this dealership. We ended up purchasing a very good condition 2016 LR4 later that day.

My first Rover.

Fell in love with this vehicle the moment I saw her. This is my first Rover so I’m learning as I go about self maintenance, mainly oil and coolant. This is our favorite luxury off-road truck to date.

Durable luxury.

I absolutely loved this vehicle. For me, it was the perfect blend of an executive vehicle suitable for attending the most upscale events, and the rugged SUV that I needed to support my training business and personal adventures. The peace of mind knowing that I was secure in any climate and any terrain was reassuring. The interior controls are logical but perhaps not as high-tech as some other luxury SUV's, but that was not an expectation of mine going into the vehicle. Handling was smooth and responsive, power was excellent, and the tight turning radius made navigating parking garages a breeze. Maintained routine oil changes as planned, replaced tires, and otherwise no outstanding maintenance issues.

Perfection, ability and reliability.

My LR4 has been perfect from day one and for the last 6 1/2 years. Not one failure, not one issues for service. Not one. How does it get any better. Love my Bali Blue Rover! It will get me anywhere!! No questions asked, no doubts, no problems and its a blast to drive in a land of identical capsule shaped econo SUV's...LOL

Superior performance! Everything one would expect from Land Rover. 96,000 miles and you would have thought it was straight from the factory.

Our favorite vehicle!

We purchased the 2011 Land Rover LR4 HSE to replace our minivan. For us it was about having the versatility to put 3 kids in the middle row if necessary, or have a third row when needed, but also not be so large that it barely fits in the garage. Couple the versatility of the interior with the capability of the exterior (many different off-road settings and AWD) and it's a winning combination. We love our Land Rover!
