2020 Lexus LX 570 review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2020 Lexus LX 570?

The 2020 Lexus LX 570 is a luxury full-size SUV that seats five in its two-row version and eight in its three-row version. It comes standard with a 383-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 engine that pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard. Competitors include the Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX80 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.

What’s New on the 2020 Lexus LX 570?

A new Sport Package for the three-row LX 570 includes a revised grille, different lower bumper styling, chrome-accented side mirrors, semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats and a black headliner. A “cool box” refrigerated console compartment is now available as a stand-alone option.

What Features in the 2020 Lexus LX 570 Are Most Important?

Standard features include leather-trimmed seats, wood trim, power-operated second and third rows, four-zone air conditioning, and navigation with a 12.3-inch screen. Standard active safety features include a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and a blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert.

Options include semi-aniline leather trim with contrast stitching, heated and ventilated front- and second-row seats, a dual-screen rear entertainment system, a head-up display, a Mark Levinson premium stereo, wireless device charging and a heated steering wheel.

Should I Buy the 2020 Lexus LX 570?

The LX 570 is comfortable, powerful and quiet, and it offers more off-road capability than most owners will utilize. However, its gas mileage isn’t great, and it’s a bit of a climb to get into. We’re also not fans of the Remote Touch multimedia interface.

Best vehicle I’ve owned.

Certainly the most expensive I’ve had, but it’s also the most comfortable. I purchased it new based upon its expected reliability and to replace my 5yr old un-named luxury off road vehicle immediately after getting invoiced over $3K for a scheduled service.

screen safety hazard

I hate this SUV console is inconvenient mouse is in the way if bumped it will change your screen.. it’s not a tough screen radio difficult to make changes. Control buttons located in a way that you can’t see its function. Screen is a safety hazard due to looking at it & not road. Cup holder blocks all the A/C controls..

Amazing vehicle

Great vehicle! Love the easy entry feature and comfortable seats. The interior features are a cut above our previous vehicle (2018 Land Cruiser). We love it!
