Terrible customer experience.

Terrible service! Not a luxury car experience. Pretty much after you commit a deposit, the rest of the experience is substandard! No follow up, no one seems to care. I had to cancel the order because the service was so poor that I was doing all of the work to actually get a car I was happy to pay for, qualified no problem for the lease yet this company could not deliver. Strongly suggest sticking with Porsche or Mercedes or a more reliable company. I can’t imagine Lucid will survive.

Buyer beware, great drive , bad service.

The range is great. Car looks good. Delivery was no problem, but the registration team left me high and try as they put the registration in SC on me and obviously did not know what to provide to me in order to register, so 2 trips to the DMV.. car has some quirks, aircon is not effective in sun as glass roof cannot be darkened. Software is soo and not up to Tesla standards, radio connectivity is bad, hopefully future upgrades can fix that. Charging at electrify is plain bad, not ince found a charger that worked as announced. Service coverage is bad and responsiveness of Lucid service is not good, wehad two issues already and tool annoyingly long to fix one and the other would require to drive to a service center 400 miles away! The Customer Care part is why I cannot recommend buying this car. We thought Tesla was bad and that was the reason to change, well not so. Despite various requests, calls were not returned and it seems middle to upper service management is not really interested in customer feedback. We also have a BMW iX and whilst range is slightly worse, service is impeccable and on the spot. So we might have made a mistake with buying Lucid.

Happy new owner.

Have owned a new Air Touring for two months and have not had a single problem. Love the way the car drives and have gotten many compliments on the exterior and interior design. Our other cars are a 911, a Cayenne and a Tesla. The Lucid is the best combination of fun to drive, comfort, interior space and style. Great car. Recommend the Touring. Would like there to be more sales and service centers.

Absolutely Fabulous Car!

Fabulous car, BMW 5 series of EV's. This is what the tesla Model S should be. Great range, terrific handling and best looking EV out there. Always getting compliments. Ride over bumps is amazing despite not having air supspension which is a good thing. I love teh semi-minimalist interior. More than Tesla, less than the Germans- EQS, i7 doesnt even have a frunk and their range is very low. Also Lucid has ampe space inside. Get the Touring model- best for value of the bunch. Prefer the glass roof, looks better for the rear passengers.

Near miss on ownership

I almost bought the Lucid Air Touring, but had to cancel my order after the car had exited the factory. I reserved the Lucid Air Touring in May 2022. Lucid's estimate was that it would be ready in the late Q3 or early Q4 2022 timeframe. I received an email from Lucid August, stating that I needed to place my order immediately, to secure my $7500 tax credit on the sedan, because Congress was voting to eliminate this credit for cards >$55,000. By placing the order, my $1000 deposit became non-refundable, but this would maintain my eligibility for the tax credit. I placed the order in August 2022 to secure my tax credit, and my deposit became non-refundable. In early November, I received an email asking me to finalize my design, as the build was ready to begin soon. About 1 week after I finalized my design and order, I received a phone call from Lucid, stating that the law, as written by Congress, indicated that my $1000 deposit was insufficient to receive the $7500 tax credit from the government. While the law was passed in August 2022, Lucid waited until mid November to tell me this, AFTER I had finalized my design. According to Lucid (through a phone call, not in writing), since I did not place a deposit of >=5% of the cost of the car, I was no longer eligible to receive the $7500 tax credit from the government. To get this $7500 credit, with only the $1000 deposit, I would have to take delivery of the car by 12/31/22. I was certainly open to this, but since I wanted a metal roof, Lucid said that it was unlikely (but not impossible) to get it by 12/31/22. I asked that if I switched to the glass roof (for $4000, which would still give me a net gain of $3500 from tax credit), could Lucid guarantee delivery by 12/31/22? The answer was no. So, I decided to stay with the metal roof version, which was my preference. In February 2023, I received an email offering a $7500 credit for my purchase, which was supposed to be Lucid's way to make up for loss of tax credit (and actually to compete with a new discount from Tesla). I was told verbally, and through email, that the credit would be applied when I purchase the car. When I received the purchase agreement at end of March 2023, the $7500 credit was excluded. I was then pointed to fine print on the email about the $7500 discount, indicating that it did not apply to metal roof models. I preferred the look of the metal roof over the glass roof version, and had several upgrades included in my purchase (paint, surreal sound, dream drive pro). I was not buying the "bare bones" version of the Lucid Air Touring. This $7500 discount, which would replace the tax credit that I lost (due to Lucid's inaccurate direction and non-commital to delivery dates), should have been given to me, as an early adopter who would help to evangelize the brand. Instead, they refused, and barely responded to my cancellation notice for the order. When it comes to Lucid ownership, I was a "near miss", and based on these reviews, my cancellation was the right choice. The dishonesty and lack of transparency was very problematic. If the purchasing experience was this bad, I can only imaging how customer service would be later.

great car when it is not in the shop.

It is sitting in the service center for the third time. When it is running, it is a wonderful car. Several forums are divided on their opinion between the new owners that love it and owners that have driven it for a year and are tired of the unreliable car with unreliable service. My electric Jaguar iPace may not be as exciting, but is always reliable.

Truly a Tesla Killer

Great car! Everything works. Don't know if others can't read or are just plain dumb. Mine works flawlessly. Beats the Model X I dumped hands-down!

Not what it should be

This is a beautiful vehicle and comfortable however reliability and customer service are terrible. Coming out of a Tesla you realize this is a mistake

Terrible experience with the vehicle and service

My Lucid Air with 1800 miles has been in service for more than 5 weeks. On a Friday even the car was complete inoperable. I called roadside assistance and was told that someone would get back to me on Monday. No one actually called Monday. It was not until Wednesday that I was able to get a tow truck to pick-up the vehicle. While in service, I was told that it would be a week, then another week, then another etc. Before the total failure, AC did not work properly (very low flow and sporadically did not work at all), the infotainment screen went black with no way to reset it without pulling off the road, Bluetooth connectivity did not work at all. Lucid has not offered to buyback the vehicle and has offered no compensation for the loss of use.

Lucid is truly a dream car

Owned this car since April 2022. The software has tremendously improved over the period. The range is close to advertised and comfort is on par for other high end luxury EV.
