Great features on the CX-5 Touring

Highly recommend giving this vehicle a test drive. It has a smooth ride loads of features, looks sharp and doesn't break the bank to own it.

Fabulous ride!

I have yet to find something I don't like about my Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with the Premium package! There is so much to discover and I seem to find something new in the book to check out every day. The car handles like a dream. The feature that projects your speed is amazing! The rear push button hatch is my favorite feature so far. I now have a heated steering wheel that is amazing and heated back seats as well as the front! Crazy about the ability to preset the drivers seat. It is just an amazing vehicle! dee

Best Car Buy Ever.

This car is exactly what I wanted. It is just as reliable as it is stylish. It gets great gas mileage, and my experience at Sport Mazda in Orlando was great.

First New Car

This Mazda CX-5 is the first brand new car that I've owned. I through probably a dozen different test drives of different vehicles trying to pick the right first new car for me and when I test drove the Mazda CX-5 I knew that was the one. Inside and out, front to back, the Mazda CX-5 is extremely driver friendly in every category. I'll definitely recommend this Mazda to friends and family who are in the market for a new car.

Short Experience but Happy One

Have only been driving car for a week, and still learning some of its electronic magic. Drives like I expected, agile and responsive. Many compliments on appearance (soul red).

Very Pleased

This car has so far met my expectations for gas mileage, comfort, and power. As yet I do not know how it will handle Winter snow and ice. Road noise on some surfaces is only drawback.

CX-5 Great Vehicle!

Previously had 2 Honda CRV's. This is my 2nd Mazda CX-5. I tell everyone the," Honda can not touch the Mazda". Mazda out performs the Honda especially on the snow covered roads here in upstate New York. Mazda style is 2nd to none, great ride and extremely dependable vehicle. Keep up the Great Work Mazda! Also own a Mazda Miata- another Great Car from Mazda!

Mazda costs themselves $ playing trim level games.

I bought a used 2017 CX5 in Touring trim. I was looking for a 2016 Grand Touring but came across a good deal on the one I bought. There are quite a few differences between the trim levels though that surprised me. 1. Auto Headlights. In this day and age of electroluminescent gauges, auto headlights should be a standard safety feature. I see way too many drivers at night with just their DRL's on. The gauges are lit so they forget about turning on the lights. All trim levels have LED headlights and an auto off function so why not have auto on for all trims. Seems it would save in manufacturing and production costs. Besides, it should be a required safety feature. 2. While on the subject of lights, why would Mazda manufacture 2 different styles of headlamp assemblies? The headlamp is one piece, all trim levels have LED lighting, but only the upper two trim levels have Mazda's signature halo DRL's. Again, savings in manufacture and assembly by eliminating duplication of parts. 3. Side view mirrors. All trim levels have power mirrors with blind spot monitoring, so they all already have power to them. Why then are a heated function only available on the Grand Select and Grand Touring? I understand stand the differences in the higher trim levels having more of the techy equipment, stereo upgrades, wheel upgrades etc, but it seems they would be able to save themselves some money in the longrun by eliminating a lot of duplicity of some basic parts. 4. Exterior styling. While the redesign looks more like the CX9 which is a good thing, it's subtlety in character lines make it look like a whale from the side profile. This is a big sided vehicle and the new design accentuates that fact. 5. Interior design. It is a lot less busy than the previous model almost to the point of being boring. I guess they are going for more of an elegant look, but you can combine elegance and style. Case in point is the infotainment touch screen. The previous model was integrated into the dashboard. Now however, it protrudes from the dash like a pop-up screen looking very much like someone shoved it into the warm plastic and it stuck there. On a positive note the interior is very comfortable and quiet. 6. Engine. The 2.5 liter has the capability to deliver gas mileage uncommon for a vehicle this size. I bought the car with 4500 miles on it and an average mpg of 28.2. In the 1000 miles I've put on it I have upped it to 28.4 mpg. Quite a bit better than most vehicles I was looking at in the same class. While this might seem like a mostly negative review, it's not really. I like the car even though I think Mazda has a lot of room for improvement, not everyone will agree I'm sure.
