Well appointed stylish SUV with nice handling

I evaluated and test drove the top 6 SUV in this class amd without a doubt this offers the best design, comfort and performance among them.

I was blown away by the performance and style.

I was impressed by this CX-5 the moment I seen it at Boniface-Hiers dealership. It's eye catching in the style department, then when I test drove it, I was highly impressed at how well it's torque out. Has sport mode for those of us who like more giddy up in our ride. Comes with Bose sound system, 10 Bose speakers, Navigation, blind spot monitors, and collision warning system along with lane departure warning. This is a lot of vehicle for the price. For the first time ever, I felt I walked away the winner in car buying. My entire experience at Boniface-Hiers was painless and very relaxing without all the horrible negotiating that goes on at other dealerships I have done business with in the past.

Electronics Failure in First Week

I waited several months for the 2017 CX-5 to come out and was glad I waited. However, I'm already disappointed in the reliability of the car after several safety systems went out of service in the first week I owned it. Really, Mazda? Pros: -Drives great, like there's a mind meld going on with the car. Unlike some cars where it feels like I have to micromanage steering or braking, the CX-5 just does what I want, when I want. Overall, it feels very "natural" and turns driving into more of a zen experience. -I got the grand touring model with the premium options package, and between the extras with the package and the lux parchment leather interior, it feels pretty posh for a reasonable price. I am already in love with things like the swiveling headlights and the advanced keyless entry system. -The 2017 model has significantly more sound deadening material throughout the car. Other than the engine, which is a bit loud, things are blissfully quiet in the cabin. Cons: -The front camera system malfunctioned less than a week after I took delivery on the car, which means several safety features--lane keep assist, radar cruise control, etc--were not functioning. The dealer I took it into for service gave me attitude when I dropped it off and hinted it might not be covered under the warranty. Now they're saying they need to replace the front camera system, and the part is backordered until July, which means I'll be going for several weeks without full use of the features I paid for. After only a week of owning the car!!! I went with Mazda since I thought it would be more reliable than Ford and most other manufacturers, but that faith is already shot. -The blind spot system works great, especially with the heads up display featured in the premium package. I'm lucky it does, because otherwise the visibility, particularly in the blind spots, is terrible. The solid part of the rear door on the right completely blocks anything in that pocket, and even on the left it's not great. Hopefully this system doesn't fail too!

Love the features for the price!

Amazing vehicle! It's comfortable, quiet, and great styling. Handles well and has fast pick-up. Better than average safety features. I feel like I am driving a luxury SUV without the price tag.

Great Transportation

It's a totally different car than the 2016 model. The two main complaints, road noise and harsh ride, that I had with the 2016 have been addressed this year and the ride is smoother and much quieter. The Infotainment system is top drawer and the interior materials have been upgraded.

Love this car

This car is responsive (feels like a sports car), has lots of high tech features (hands free blue tooth, voice command), and looks good.
