2010 Mazda CX-9 consumer reviews

Compared to other 3 row SUV's, this girl is handling beautifully. The V6 roars on the highway (it's also used in the Mustang '11), the handling is straight out of a large coupé, and the styling is beautiful. The cruise control is also very smooth in curves and in the up and downs. She always performs well in the snow, the AWD doesn't disappoint, and for towing she's not the best, but can still carry most small campers, if that's your jam. The interior doesn't disappoint either. The seats are so good they haven't changed them in 11 years (so far!). Best part is, all the 7 seats are comfy! The very back row however can get cramped for the legs for the taller individual, but still an overall great place to be. The sound is great, but expect issues with the Bluetooth. You still have a 6 CD reader, so there's that, and an AUX jack. The boot also has decent space with seats up, and great space with all seats down. It's not without problems, however. She is always thirsty. You will spend a lot on gas. Expect about 500km on a city/highway usecase, 400km in the winter. For parking, it can get cramped, especially in some smaller underground spots. Overall, great car, fun to use, but will cost an arm in gas.

This SUV has it all. Third Row, adjustable mid row. Climate control rear. Cameras. Interior is built solid. Exterior holds up really well. Maybe a little undersized linkages/wheel components for overall vehicle weight. Outperforms MPG estimates.

This car is perfect for my family and for everything we do for sports. So far it has been very good for us and can't wait to make memories.

Has been a great car until power transfer unit failed. Not until after the PTU failed (95,600 miles) did I become aware of the history of unreliability of the PTU on CX-9s. Mazda issued a recall on this problem (SSP92) but failed to notify me. So quite conveniently this recall did not apply to my vehicle.

This car runs as good as the first day I got it. It has never given me an ounce of trouble. By far the most reliable vehicle my family has ever owned.

I've always liked this car and finally bought one. So far the only thing I've had to do was change the brake power booster, about a $400.00 job. The only other problem is the gas mileage. I don't understand why the gas mileage is so poor when there are so many other SUV's like this that get much better MPG. I still love the car and love the way it drives, but due to the gas mileage not sure if I would buy another one.

Great vehicle with a third row but without the bulk of it's competitors, ice cold AC, and great music from the BOSE system. I'm buying the same vehicle again.

I have always driven Toyotas. This Mazda is my first. I was really surprised by its capability and Good Artificial Intelligence! It Rides smoothly and provides great mileage on gas.
