very reliable

This is a fun car to drive, my mixed city and highway mileage is higher than the estimated highway figure and I don't baby it either. After 140K miles it is still going strong. replaced, the top twice, brakes once front and rear, a clutch@ 1230K miles, and an AC compressor at 135K. other than that no repairs

Absolute Fun

While it may not have been the fastest car I've driven, it is definitely the most fun. With a power retractable hard top, you have the ability to drive this car in any type of weather. This thing was made to cruise along windy back-roads.

Best sportscar I've ever owned!

I have driven this little gem from Virginia Beach to Phoenix in relative comfort. I bought it used with about 30k and now have over 160k on it. In all those miles I've used 4 batteries, 3 sets of tires, a thermostat and more recently a power steering pump. Thats it. Its never broke down or left me stranded. It handles great, top is a one handed up or down, great on gas and is quick enough as long as you rev it!

The awesome MX-5

The most fun car out here. This is my 4th MX-5 Miata. All of them have been the Hardtop Convertible. I want a new Miata 2016 but only if they make a PRHT (Power Retractable Hard Top) or a coupe version.

Awesome Drive

Just purchased a 2008 Grand Touring MX-5 from a dealership. The car is just amazing. The steering is tight and the sound of the engine is mechanical music. I actually turn off the sound system and just listen the engine. It has a fair amount of storage for such a small car. The trunk will hold a couple of pieces of soft luggage, while the cabin has 4 cup holders, glove box, lockable storage bin and pockets behind the seats. I bought the car to be used as an everyday driver, not just for Sunday drives. I plan to buy snow tires for the winter months as I live in Pennsylvania. The car is so much fun to drive. I can't help but grin every time I drive it.

How to find the best car for your money:

I researched all models of Mazda Miata RX-7's via web sources (including cars.com), before deciding I wanted a used, generation 3 model (2006 to 2014) but only looked at two actual cars, a 2008 with amazing low mileage and attractive price offered by a broker and a 2007 with higher mileage and higher price offered by the original owner, a classic "little old lady." Though it looked and drove great, the 2008 had obviously been wrecked and there were no records; the 2007 had never been wrecked and both the seller and the dealer had complete maintenance records dating from original drive out. The car I purchased is in the best possible condition for a 7 year old vehicle. A beautiful & dependable car that is fun to drive.

A really fun car

This was the fun little car I was looking for. The 6-speed manual is really "hands on". The car goes where I want it to instantaneously. The downside is that my 6'3" frame barely settles into the cockpit.
