2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF consumer reviews

I just purchased this car yesterday and I've already put over 100 miles on the car. I love to drive it! Super handling and it is so stylish! I've done a lot of research on this model and I've never seen a poor rating. Now I know why! This is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven and it rides really well!

This is a pure driver's car, there are hardly any bells and whistles trying to sway you from the real experience: the drive. It's lightweight and extremely playful even with traction control. Not a lot of power, but it puts down it's power where it needs it the most. Even highway off ramps feel like a 2Fast2Furious moment.

If you love driving, this is for you. I love every moment in this car. It is perfectly balanced, and carves curves like a sharp knife. The manual transmission is fantastic, with hill assist so you don't roll backwards. The styling is a head Turner. The fun factor is on par with nothing else that returns up to 40 mpg on the highway.

This is a great second car to own. It is smaller, but I really enjoy driving it. Don't expect it to be fast. They are not built for speed.

My wife loves it when I pick her up for lunch. The new hard top convertible is an eye catcher. I owned an older version several years ago. And great gas mileage.

Awesome car for daily commutes. It's a blast to drive. This is my second MX-5 Miata. These cars are very economical. They get great fuel mileage, cheap insurance and low maintenance cost. With over 100k miles combined, never any breakdowns. Miata for life!!

I had read a lot of books and online reviews of this car and really wanted it as my dream vehicle and it certainly lived up to all my needs. The handling and acceleration are excellent, which came in handy driving on highways with winding roads. I had also never had a convertible before, so that came as another amazing experience. The only downsides are that it took a few days to get used to sitting so low and that large vehicles look even more imposing whilst sitting in such a tiny car. But if that does not bother you, this car is an excellent choice.

The Miata RF is super fun to drive. The chassis feels like a single piece of metal, really solid and rigid. The engine only has 155 horsepower but it is adequate for a light car like this, and it revs quickly and produces nice sound. The 6 speed auto shift quickly and gives you decent acceleration. I’ve done 1000+ miles round trip between Boston and DC, and this car average 39mpg on the highway. I have family members who own a 2.0L Mazda3 that shares the same power train, which is very reliable after 70k miles.

This car is the best driving sports car at any price, and the Miata matches many high powered, 6 figure price sports cars in the power /weight ratio and driving experience. A fun car for weekend adventures or a daily driver, and the gas mileage is unbelievable.
