It was my daily car, super clean inside.

This car was really reliable. I took care of it like if it was my baby. Super clean inside and out. Did maintenance regularly. Has new parts installed.

Rugged C280

I bought this car with 204,000 miles on the side of the road for almost nothing. I now have 307,000 miles. I had to replace a lot to get it on the road, but it was worth it. Its reliable, comfortable and fast. The parts are fairly expensive, and you dont want to put cheap parts in it, it wont run correctly. The mono wiper always needs attention for it to work. The blower motors dont last. The alignment gets thrown off easy. It gets very rusty along the doors. I hit a deer going 35 and it did almost no damage to the car. I also hit a stone wall and did little damage. Besides all the small stuff, its built VERY WELL.

2000 C230 kompressor

Bought this car about 2.5 years ago, and have put 54,000km on it since (has about 252,000km now). It's been driven on gravel roads, in snow and ice, and on the racetrack for driver training, and is my daily commuter. It's a great car overall. The climate control has recently lost its brains, and the CD changer hasn't worked since before I bought it, but otherwise everything still works well. I would have no qualms about hopping in for a long road trip tomorrow. While it is true, parts are not cheap, they last a LONG time...you won't need many. Also basic repairs are very easy, for example, replacing the blower motor might take you half an hour. Things are generally pretty accessible and the skid plate and seals help keep the engine area relatively clean. The only dislikes I have about this car are the non-folding rear seat (I think that was an option though), the front seats being German-man-sized (too big for me), and the fact it just doesn't have the fun-factor of a BMW 3-series.

Most reliable and safe car I owned

I have been driving my Mercedes-Benz C230 1999 for more than 15 years. It is a very safe and reliable car. Comfortable, excellent performance. The only draw back is the expensive regular services and repairs by Mercedes-Benz dealers, particularly the Mercedes-Benz of Princeton, NJ that is the main reason I am selling my Mercedes-Benz C230 1999.

3rd w202 c280

First one was '98 c280, 1 owner with 20k on it - second was a '95 c280 with 160k (was mainly bought for the mononblock wheels and as a light commuter) - third and current merc is a 1 owner '99 c280 sport with 53k, all black. these cars drive like no other car. I have a b5 and e36 as well and they don't compare. all great cars, but the 99 c280 sport is the perfect mix between luxury and sport. 20 years later and the car pulls like its brand new. my '98 did give me issues more than id like between 125k-150k...at 150k it popped a gas line, turned off, and I crashed while driving 60mph. complete loss, but I felt safe and came out with seatbelt bruises and a sore neck only. I still stand behind this car fully as it is a great little sports car and entirely safe. I love looking back at it after I park. the rust is an issue, its absolutely terrible in snow, but besides that its been my favorite car and I hope to snag a c36 in the near future. 11/10 would recommend to anyone that likes a drivers car.

Attractive, intimidating daily drive

I like this car. I like the tires, the way it handles, the torque of the motor. Although it's a Sedan it feels to me like a sports-car due to it feeling a little cramped up front particularly if you have a passenger. You do need to follow the fuel recommendations (premium) & oil (synthetic) I have only had it for approx 1 month & it is middle of winter so I haven't been able to fully appreciate some of it's nicer features such as the sun-roof. This car only has 110,000 miles & it gives the impression that it has many more miles left in it.

Great Value

Drove the car as long-distance commuter for over 200,000 miles. Was comfortable on highway and smooth at 75-80. Got about 29 MPG. Service at MB is expensive but they do a good job. Not too many unanticipated repairs needed. In all, very inexpensive for how durable it is.

I do not regret this purchase at all!!

If you are looking for a reliable, stylish, gas effective vehicle; this is the one for you. Disregard any stigma of Mercedes Benz being out of the "average Joes" affordability. It is easily maintained and highly recommended. Very good on gas and excellent on the highway.
