Great car!!!
I purchased a used 2006 I4 with a manual transmission....excellent MPG-over 30 on the highway average. I would have giving the features 5 stars if they would have included an Ipod jack in the car. This is a great car for the money will all the bells and whistles...moon roof, heated seats, steering wheel controls, climate control, heated mirrors, leather seats, etc.

Good buy
Good buy for the price. It has a very catchy exterior and a very nice interior. MPG could be better, but it gets about 20.1.

Great balance of value and comfort.
Six months and nine thousand miles with a V-6 Premiere: 22.5 MPG, no repairs, no rattles. Milan shares a proven chassis and many parts with the Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, and Mazda 6. The features and trim of the Milan is most similar to the MKZ, while the used pricing is closer to that of the Fusion. A two-year-old Milan is a great value, at nearly half the retail price. Standard features on the Premiere that don?t come on the Ford Fusion: LED taillights, projector headlights, automatic climate control, and heated leather seats. If I were buying new, I would lean toward the styling of the `09 Mazda. My favorite feature: the heated seats. `

Best Car I have driven
Love the car, got it with 20 miles and the car and a year later still smells like a brand new car. Love the lines, a nice modern look that actually looks like a car.

Just being honest......
I bought the last new 06 on the dealers lot in 07 and got an amazing price. Love everything about the car, looks, comfort (I'm 6'3), price and features. This is my first "American" car since 1980...always had imports because let's face it...Americans have not produced reliable cars. I am a sign language interpreter and put about 40k miles/year on a car. Love everything about it EXCEPT that after buying it brand new (o miles) and having it 4 days the manual transmission went out and had to be completely replaced. Grrrrrr. I'm off to a bad start with both the car and the way Ford Dearborn handled the situation. However, this car has a Mazda made 4 cyl engine and I am hoping for a brighter future with my Mylan. I have the 4 cyl/5 speed. Love the ride comfort but it needs more sound deadening. Just went on a 13 hour (1 way) road trip across North Dakota with the cruise set at 85 and the A/C on the whole way and still got 31 mpg. Overall I think it's super comfortable and was a great deal for the money. I'm hoping the transmission thing was a fluke. This car could definitely use a 6th gear....noisy at speeds over 60. Overall, I think the car rocks! American auto makers have a bad long-term past image to improve as far as I''m concerned. Other than the tranny, Mercury is off to a great start with this Milan. I hope you Ford manufacturers are reading this.....us high mileage drivers would love to let you know what we think long-term. Even a Kia runs fine when it's new. I'm trying to support the American economy with this purchase as well as give "our side" another chance. I sincerely hope that Ford can make me a repeat customer. Let's see what the future holds....

**** solid vehicle
we now have 4,000 miles on a black '06 and i can only say we love this car. it's loaded with all the options and the only thing i have done is increase the volume of the air intake by opening up the small air tube that runs parallel to the main tube and add a filter to it a very big difference in torque and acceleration. i give mercury an A+ for this vehicle.

Milan - Equal to Toyota or Honda
We recently leased a V6 Milan Premiere and just love it. It handles and rides very well. I have driven Toyotas and Hondas in the recent past. This Mercury is equal to or surpasses them in every respect. I have always been a Buy American person but lately American cars have left me unsatisfied. Now, Ford/Mercury is back on track! I hope that the word gets out on just how good this vehicle is. We got the red outside with tan leather interior. WOW it really looks rich too.
