Its reliable.

Got this car in high school for 1,000 dollars. Very reliable and I have had it for almost 3 years. I usually drive it to work and school. But I love the room in the trunk bc most cars dont have that amount of space especially for the price of the car.

Great SUV

Great SUV. The V8 has plenty of power yet not to bad on gas. Plenty of room inside and the all wheel drive is great in the snow. Has been very reliable. a great SUV all around

Good, solid, reliable rig. Would Recommend.

I purchased my 5.OL V8 AWD model 3 months ago and I've fallen in love with it. It's really a good reliable vehicle. The only things that have been replaced on the vehicle are the 4 ball joints and one of the catalytic converters which are basic maintenance items anyways. The ride quality is pretty good however there's no denying that there's a truck frame underneath that luxury car body. I would consider this car to be exceptionally stable despite the claims about the Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineers being easy to flip. I had to make a left turn across an intersection before I got hit by a bigger SUV going around 50 miles per hour. I floored it going around that corner to avoid an accident and the only thing that happened was the rear-end stepped out a little bit but that was easily controllable. I never felt like I was about to flip the truck or lose control. The car has tons of power which I really like. I've even won a few races with it. Gas mileage is pretty poor. I'm averaging 12 miles per gallon in the city but that's to be expected on a V8 SUV of this size however that's what I get no matter how the truck is driven. I average around 16 or 17 miles per gallon on the highway. It's a beast off road too. Tons of traction in all conditions. That V8 sounds great. It's quiet when you need it but gets nice and loud when you want it. The interior quality could be better. The leather drivers seat and center arm rest is cracked and there's some creaks and rattles here and there but that's to be expected on a 13 year old truck. Nothing too crazy though. The Mach stereo system is respectable, however my sub woofer recently died. The exterior looks pretty decent. It looks better than a Ford Explorer however I wish that there were more differences between the two. The seats are incredibly comfortable and great for long road trips. It's the car of choice when me and my friends go anywhere long distance. The car is actually really easy to drive and to park. It's actually significantly easier to parallel park than my 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. The front end is incredibly easy to judge because you can see the whole hood from the drivers seat and the mirrors are the best of any car I've driven. There's tons of space on the inside to haul stuff, especially when those back seats are folded down. I haven't towed anything with it although my understanding is that it's perfectly capable of towing a good amount of weight. The truck has 114,XXX miles on it and it's still going strong. The engine still runs smooth and everything works as it's supposed to. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anybody who wants or needs an SUV like this one here. Just be prepared for the poor fuel economy.
