Worst car ever owned
In 2008 I traded in my wifes reliable, but gas monster, Explorer for a new Nissan Altima. We decided to purchase because of the gas mileage and overall consumer rating. We owned the vehicle for 1 week before the computer crashed and the dealership had it a week to figure out what was wrong. For the last two years we have had on going electrical problems. The brake light and air bag lights go one and off. It continues to kill batteries and the dealership keep blaming bad battery. Some times you will attempt to start it and the vehicle will not do anything and then 10 mins later it starts right up. This thing is amazing. I finally decided to trade it in on an American Car.

Nice car...leary about the engine quaity
I purchsed a pre-owned 08 Altima 2.5 SL with 10K miles on it. My 4th Nissan in 20 years. Love the styling, the BOSE stereo, navigation and the seats. MPG is good, around 25 city and all I do is city driving around 12 miles per day. However, I am getting a slight knocking noise in the engine, more like a "tick-tick" noise that a sewing machine makes when I accelerate and under 1800 rpm. One dealer said it was louder than normal but still "normal". Taking it to another dealer next week to check it out. Also, get "clunk" noise when acelrating under 3-5 miles per hour. per the manual, this is the ABS system re-setting. Kind of an annoyance. But only happens when the car has been sitting overnight or for a long time, not at every stop and start. Thus the reason I only gave it 3 stars for reliablity, otherwise I would have given it 5. Getting Nissan Consumer affairs involved as I have never heard of a 4 cylinder with this ticking noise even when fully warmed up. So, be aware, be informed. Other than that...great car!!

excellent mileage and handling!
This vehicle is fun to drive and handles well on the road. A big plus is the gas mileage also - I've driven one for several months now and really enjoy it. Gorgeous body styling too!

Awesome car
The best car on the planet. The car is outstanding in balance. I drove a toyota corolla once it is a trash as compared to Nissan Altima. The best feature is that it is CVT ie you never feel like when the gears change automatically in the automatic transmission. The car is great on mileage. Just fill your tank and forget the gas pump for a month.

the best car for money
I had this car for three months. I have to say this is the best car for the amount of money I?ve spent I had Nissans all my life; owned two sentras but this car takes the cake. Pros 1. Great gas mileage (25-26 MPG in the city). 2. Spacious 100.7 cubic feet of passenger space. 3. CVT is supper responsive plenty of get up and go. 4. Push button start gives the luxurious feel. 5. Interior (I have charcoal color) is comfortable and easy to maintain. 6. Really like the AUX input, sound system is pretty good too. Cons HAVE NONE??

08 Altima Coupe
I purchased my coupe a few weeks ago, and I love it!!!!!! I went from a Tahoe to a little sports car and that took some getting used to! I love the sporty look, the gas mileage is great (compared to my tahoe), and the acceleration is awesome! There is also plenty of room in the back for my 6 year old. I love it, love it, love it!!

Nice car
I purchased the coupe version of this car and I opted for the four cylinder version (budget). I was surprised with the acceleration it has and the comfort of the ride on uneven pavement. The breaks however are too reactive for my taste; I have to remind myself to step softly on the pedal so I won't feel like I'm going to fly of the windshield. Gas mileage is not bad for a coupe, so far so good. I had this car for four months now but I will always recommend that you test drive it before buying it.
