First Pickup I've Owned

The Frontier surprised me in the fact that it did't feel like a truck when I drove it. I needed a truck for yard projects and towing my motorcycles and the Nissan Maxima couldn't do that. I knew I was giving up comfort, looks and some bells/whistles for a pickup truck but the ride, style of some of the features of the Frontier impressed me enough that I purchased it. I really like my truck so far!

Great truck for price

Strong engine for towing (6 cyl). Recommend fully loaded option. A great ride. Sound system is loud and clear. Good gas mileage. Among the best in mid sized truck class

Better MPG than before!!

I have owned this truck for almost a month & 750 miles. The increased fuel mileage is definitely a welcomed increase over the outgoing powertrain. Truck is very comfortable! My only problem is a vibration at 67+ MPH; I think it is in the driveshaft or rear differential. I will be taking it back to Nissan soon & hoping for the best.

Failed transmission at 000,115 miles.

It's a great car, or was. Our other car is a 2012 Xterra and the frontier was a nice refresh of an upgrade. The transmission skipped a gear on the freeway and all sorts of codes got thrown with a jerky ride back home. The dealer still can't figure out what's wrong and they've never seen the codes before. Still in the midst of the problem and trying to get it resolved.

GOOD TRUCK, POOR WORKMANSHIP

I have owned over 20 trucks in my lifetime. This one rides good, and handles pretty good too. A little bit wishy washy steering, and it feels like it doesnt track as well as others. But, my biggest complaint is with the warranty. I only have 5000 miles on my truck, and the first time I took it to the dealer for warranty, I was not very happy! There was not much paint on the bottom of the tailgate when it was opened. After showing it to the dealer, and the dealer saying it was "normal", I escalated it to Nissan. All they did was refer me back to the selling dealer, and they never did anything about it.....unreal.....I took it back in today for some minor issues, but again was told that the things I mentioned were "normal"........the drivers vent pushes hot air out when the floor vents are selected......I could not believe that they claim this is "normal".......I wonder how many people would be turned off from buying if they knew that........ridiculous really....

it's a good truck, liked

This truck rides good, but the electronic part disappoint me, the dashboard is antiquate, they said it has Apple Play, but it doesn't, unable to transfer my apps like GPS to the car screen, only one USB, Bluetooth, it's ok, my small Ford Transit has much advanced electronics.
