Great on gas mileage

It has plenty of leg room in front and back. Comfortable seats. Not enough cup holders. I was not happy when the weather was windy because the car would sway and was scared and shaking when I drove on a high rise bridge. Car had great acceleration. Got excellent gas mileage in town and highway. I guess because the car was light weight. Started not getting cold AC. Did not like the glove compartment because it was too deep to reach in to while driving. Did not like that it did not have lights on the door for the power windows and I was always putting the wrong windows down at night. Liked the driver side arm rest. I really did not love it. It was reliable the 2 and half years I had it.

Longest I've kept one car!

I bought this vehicle with 35k miles on it, 4 years ago. I now have 110k miles on it. This vehicle is AMAZING on gas. I've only done routine maintenance (brakes, tires, oil changes 60k mile tune up per manual) and have had no other issues. Mechanically sound! I went from a Chevrolet Equinox (great suv) to this small vehicle, and yes- it is small. But I get AVERAGE 37 miles to the gallon and it's saved me tons of money on gas. It's a small 4 cyl engine and doesn't have that "pick-up" that 6 cyld vehicles do, but I wasn't looking for a fast flashy vehicle. I was looking for low maintenance, long lasting, fuel saving - and that's exactly what I've received! This vehicle is NOT for if you want all the bells and whistles, to be flashy. This vehicle is for those who want dependability, nice design, and to save on gas.

Economy car

If you are looking for an economy car I think the Nissan 2013 Versa is a very reliable car. Excellent on gas and driving comfort. Being a small engine it's a little noisier than other cars but for the gas milage and power it produces it's exceptional. First gear to second gear you don't have space. I mean you have to gear to second in a short while. That's fine with me because manual transmission the first gear is made to start the car rolling. I drove many manual cars before and I think this car needed more space between the two gears but after the fifth gear the car goes easily to 80 90 miles/Hour Also, at that speed the engine noise in not increasing so It's a comfortable economy car for long trips. Being a manual transmission also gives you a good gas milage.

35.3 Actual MPG & Not a Hybrid. lol

If you want a Low Cost Car w/good fuel mileage that can haul 5 adults comfortably, this is it! Get the Versa S+ w/CVT. Don't waste money on any of the higher priced packages. They're not necessary & won't earn squat in resale value. Part of my driving is short city hops, 2.6 miles to work, 1.5 miles to Grocery, etc. The other part is Hwy w/passengers on week-ends. NEVER believe ANY digital read-out. Mine shows 41.1 mpg, but in reality from fill-up to fill-up calculates out at 35.3 on paper (actual MPG). Not bad though, compared to other auto maker claims. Where's the transmission dip-stick & filler tube you might ask? None there so you must have it checked by a qualified mechanic. This will keep you from making the $2500 mistake of adding the WRONG type of Fluid for a NISSAN CVT. It is a Very Special Type. All-in-all I like this car compared to my trade-in, a Nissan Altima which was 600 Lbs heavier averaging 26.4 mpg. Beware! The Versa only weights a bit over 2400 Lbs. I'm 74 & have no problem holding the steering wheel tight against the wind so I can't complain as many here have done. I can also reach over & easily adjust the passenger mirror, lock/ unlock the door & roll up/down the window because the car's not all that wide.

This car has given me so much problems! the heat sheild keeps coming off and now my ignition has locked up because the key is worn out! How the heck does a 2013 wear a key out in 2014????!!!! i would rather trade this car in!
